“Ooh Bacon!”Said Jake as he made his way over to the kitchen.
“Oi get your own!” I said seeing him grabbing one of the bacon sandwiches that Molly had made for us by the time we got back.
“Well don’t I deserve some thanks for looking after your cousin all night no thanks to your husband to be.”
I looked over at Cal who was now lying across the sofa on top of the girls groaning and lying there lifeless.
“Yeah you really looked after him didn’t you?”
“Well what can I say...he didn’t end up in casualty did he?”
“And I’m supposed to be pleased with that am I?”
“No I’m just saying it could have gone a whole lot worse.”
“And don’t I know!” I said pinching the plate out of his hands.
“Hey bring that back!”
“No because you guys didn’t bring my cousin back.” I took a bite out of the sandwich. “So I ended up going to pick you lot up and now my neighbours think that I’m crazy because I walked out of here in my pyjamas.” I said rolling my eyes at my own stupidity.
“Right I’ll starve then...” Jake said dramatically. Before slumping himself down on the sofa next to Halley. He looked up at her with a flirty smile.
“Hi I’m Jake.”
She smiled back with her own flirty smile. “Hi...I’m Halley.”
“So Halley where are you from?”
I rolled my eyes. They were both just as bad as each other.
“Clearport and yes she is single!” I answer for her.
They both glared at me for a little while, annoyed with my interference. But after a minute they resumed to their seductive talking.
“So you’re single are you?”
“Yeah I am.” She said in a giggly voice.
“Well-“
“Oh Jake leave her be for god’s sake man!” Liam said coming in through the door closely followed by Lee and Ben who was hobbling into the room aided by crutches.
About to argue back with Liam; Jake suddenly spotted Ben coming through the door. And the urge to wind up Ben overbore the one to continually flirting with Halley. He pushed himself off the sofa and made his way over to Ben; leaving a less than pleased Halley sitting there. If looks could kill Jake would be dead.
“Hey Ben fancy a kick around out the back?” Teased Jake.
Ben looked up at half rolling his eyes as if to say I can’t believe how rubbish that line was.
“Does it look like I can?” He said holding one of the crutches up in the air.
“Well I suppose not...” Jake replied with a snigger.
“Well the docs have said that I’ve got to go home and put my foot up so yeah...Lee, drive me home.” Said Ben turning around heading back to the car.
“What? We can’t go now!” Complained Aria to her boyfriend.
“I know you don’t want to go A but you heard him the doc said he has to rest it.”
“God Ben you always have to do something don’t you?” She said grumpily which triggered a laughing fit from the rest of the gang. “What?” she whined “He does!”
