“Do you do bridesmaids dresses Lara?”

“Yeah they’re on the railings over there in the corner.” She said pointing over to them. “We don’t stock many because we normally have to order in a lot at a time but there’s a catalogue over there on that table. I can order in anything you want. How many bridesmaids you got?”

“Thanks!” I said walking over to the table and picking up the catalogue and flicking through the pages as me and Aria looked at the dresses. “Um... I’ve got six.”

“Wow six! So anybody I know?”

“Yeah well Aria obviously...then there’s basically my cousins oh and there’s...” Aria sighed deeply. “Cassie...”

“Cassie?” said Lara obviously not catching on to who I meant.

I didn’t have to explain though. “Hi guys!” Cassie said beaming as she came through the door. Me and Aria both turned to look at her. “Oh my god Becky you look...amazing!” She said seeing that I was still wearing the dress.

“Thanks!” I said not sure whether to be pleased or not because I always dreaded what I looked like if Cassie complimented my outfit.

“Oh Cassie!” Said Lara realising who I meant and then turned back to me and frowned with disbelief “Cassie?”

I nodded whilst rolling my eyes. Lara smiled as if knowing that it was not out of choice.

“How did you know we were here? I thought you were going to ring us?” I asked wondering.

“Well I saw Lee’s old car outside and guessed that maybe you were in here.” I nodded to her in recognition.

“So what’s the connection then?” Lara further asked.

“Well-“ I began to say.

“I’m with Tony. Liam’s brother! Just think Becky one day we’ll be sister in laws! How brill will that be?”  She said enthusiastically.

“Yeah fabulous...” I said with a nervous smile as Aria nearly spat out the sip of tea she that Lara had given her. She turned to face me with a stupid grin. I rolled my eyes at her making sure that Cassie didn’t notice.  I don’t think she did because she was too busy sorting through the rack of bridesmaids dresses in the corner.

“Wow look at this one Becks!” She said pulling out a florescent blue prom dress with several layers of frilly fabric.

I saw the panic in Aria’s eyes and decided to play along with Cassie for a little while just as to get Aria for laughing at the fact me and Cassie were going to be sister in laws. Please god let Tony dump Cassie I thought to myself.

“Yeah Cass, that’s an amazing dress!” I stressed. Aria turned to face me. Her eyes pleading with me not to chose that dress. I laughed silently and decided that I was being really mean doing this to her.

“But I’m not sure it’s quite what I had in mind.” Aria let out a sigh of relief and nudged me gently in the side. I smirked at her and looked down at the page in the catalogue I had just turned to.

“Although maybe something like that.” I said pointing at a long purple coloured dress with ruching and silver beading across the bodice and an a-line skirt.

Lara came across to see what I was looking at. “Oh I think you might be in luck there actually. I think we’ve got three of them in at the moment” she said going over to check the rails. “Ah yes! Here. We’ve got three; one in a size twelve, one in an eight and another in a fourteen. What sizes are you girls?”

“Well I’m a six!” said Cassie as if it was something to be proud of. I couldn’t help but think put some weight on you look like you’re going to snap in half!
