“There’s no chicken left!” Aria said hysterically opening the door to an unbeknown Lily and Carmen.

“Right, that’s okay.” Carmen said stepping into the house with an expression that just screamed freak out.

I however was laughing hysterically. Aria was so funny, she was the only one that seemed to be bothered by the fact that all the pop corn chicken from the KFC we’d ordered had been eaten. Mind you everything was seemingly funny at the moment. Which I have to say was quite worrying considering we had only had one glass of wine each and I think I was speaking for all of us when I said I was seeing double.

“Have a glass of bubbly!” I said passing two plastic cups to Lily and Carmen.

“Thanks.” They both said taking them politely.

“And what are we celebrating?” Carmen asked taking a sip of the champagne.

“No men!” Aria said proudly.

“What do you mean no men?” Lily asked.

“Well Liam and I had a bit of an argument and he’s gone off somewhere...” I said slurring my words and looking around the room for him.

“What you mean you’ve split?” Carmen said alarmed as she put her cup down on the coffee table.

“No, not split, just I’m here and he’s, he’s...actually where is he?” I said drunkenly forgetting where he was.

“Off!” Aria said taking a sip from her glass.

“I know. He’s gone off and even after I’ve loved him for like...ten years or something. Ten whole years and he’s done a runner on me!” I said giggling pathetically to myself.

“Let’s play truth or dare you know like we used when we were young...and free and single!” Aria said, her eyes twitching drunkenly.

I laughed at her comment and realised she wasn’t actually joking. “Aria we’re twenty three. I don’t think it’s going to be the same.” I said taking another sip from my glass.

“Becky!” Aria shouted. “You’re no fun anymore. Why has he done this to you? He’s sucked all the fun and colour out of you!”

I might have been incredibly drunk but I was sober enough to realise that that was extremely funny.

“Okay. Calm down dear!” I said laughing at her. “Right I dare you...” I said looking around for something to involve Aria in.

“No! You’re going first matey. It’s your house, so you’re going first! Truth or dare.” Natasha insisted.

“Okay dare, I’ll be brave!” I said slightly panicking about it after I had said it.

“Right I dare you to down your drink in one!”

Me being the idiot that I was didn’t hesitate to please everyone. I picked up  my glass and drank the glass, which Natasha had just filled to the top and drank the entire contents. Bearing in mind that the glass I was drinking from was in fact a pint glass; my vision was beginning to blur slightly towards the end of the glass and my head was spinning a little.

They all cheered when I finished and set the glass down on the coffee table.

“Right my turn!” I said triumphantly. “Aria, I dare you...”

I blinked open my eyes and stared at the ceiling for a moment.

“Good morn-“ I said turning with a smile but it soon vanished when I realised Liam wasn’t there. Then last night started coming back to me. Well I say coming back to me. There was a lot of moments that were hazy but the best thing was that despite that, I didn’t seem to be displaying any signs of a hangover. I pushed back the white duvet that lay across our bed and got out; not bothering to make the bed. I could see that when I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen in search of food, that Aria was slumped across the sofa with a blanket covering her head and the majority of her body. The only recognisable feature was her socks that were sticking out from under the turquoise fleece blanket.
