It was the day before the hen do and I still didn’t know exactly who was coming. I had images of people that I really wanted not turning up and being really annoyed that they hadn’t been invited. Every time I would ask Aria who was coming she would tell me that “everything is sorted and she’d invited everyone she could think of and not to worry about it. It would be a surprise and I would enjoy t even more that way”. The trouble was I wasn’t sure that she could think of everyone.
“Becks it’ll be fine! Don’t worry I have faith in Aria to do a good job!” Carmen tried to assure me as we walked out of the veterinary surgery leaving Halley to lock the doors.
“Yes from what I’ve seen Becky, Aria is very reliable and she’ll sort it out don’t worry!” Halley said as she caught up with us.
We all walked over to our cars that we’re parked in the small car park next to surgery. I opened the door and leaned on the frame.
“I know. I mean I trust her and stuff but there’s a lot of people to remember. I know I mean I had to ask my mum if I had missed anyone off the list when me and Liam were doing the guest list for the wedding. “
“Becky don’t worry she will have thought of everyone don’t worry! Right I’m off now I need to pack for tomorrow. I’ll see you in the Oakfield Car park.” Said Carmen stepping slightly into her blue Corsa.
“Why? Why are going to see me in the Oakfield car park?” I said wondering what was going on.
“Well it says on the invites? To meet in the car park...don’t you know?” Asked Halley with a confused look on her face.
“No this is what I mean!” I said in a panicked tone.
“Well where are you meeting everyone then?” giggled Carmen.
“I don’t know. Aria’s picking me up. She didn’t say where we’d be meeting everyone. Anyways how are we getting there?”
“Wow you really don’t know anything do you?” Halley said.
“No I told you I didn’t! Remind me if she ever gets married to do the same to her!” I said trying to ease my anxiety with a joke.
“Yes I will do! Right I’m off see you Becks!” Halley said shutting the door of her car and driving off out of the car park.
“And me. Look get some sleep tonight. I dread to think what she’ll have you doing tomorrow!”
“That makes two of us.”
“Becky don’t worry this is Aria we’re talking about not Cassie. She knows you well I mean you guys have been friends for like forever so don’t worry we’ll have fun I know it!” Carmen smiled and shut the door of her car and like Halley drove off out of the car park.
I got into my car. Carmen was right it wasn’t Cassie that was organising my hen party it was Aria and she knew me well enough to know what I’d like. I shut the door and drove home. I pulled up into the drive next to our house. I saw that Jake’s car was in the drive. What is he doing here I thought to myself?
I locked my car and walked into the house, taking my shoes off at the door.
“I don’t know though mate. I mean yeah it sounds like a good idea but I’ll have to see what the misses says to it all.” I could hear Liam saying as I walked into the living room.
“Ah Becks! What would you say to me taking your fiancée and a couple of the other lads up to Blackpool with me for the weekend because my mate has asked me to cover for a job he can’t do this weekend and well seeing that-“
