Just as the bus was leaving the car park my phone started ringing. I reached into my pocket and pulled it out. I checked the caller ID; it was Liam. I pressed the green button answering the call.

“Are you really missing me that much?” I giggled.

“Urgh....no...I mean yes...no...never mind. Where’s Jason catching the bus?” He stuttered.

“Why isn’t he there with you now?” I asked worriedly.

“No. Why was he supposed to be catching it in Clearport?” There was a hint of panic in his voice.

“Yes I think so...Hang on I’ll ask Aria.” I put my hand over the phone as I turned to speak to Aria.

“Ask me what?” She said smiling, obviously over hearing my conversation with Liam.

“Where’s Jason and Sian catching the bus from? You were the last one to talk to them.”

Her smile vanished from her face and was soon replaced by a look of horror. She shot up from her seat, pushed past me and ran to the front of the bus. I leaned over her seat to see her talking to the bus driver. The next thing I knew the bus had stopped and was now turning around in the middle of the road. Confused by what was happening I joined my friend at the front of the bus, curious as to see what was going on.

“What’s happening?” I asked when I reached the front.

“I thought you said that she was reliable and knew what she was doing?” The bus driver said smugly.

I frowned at his remark. What was he on about?

“Aria?”

“Oh my god Becks. I’m so sorry I totally forgot to add her to the checklist because we only asked her yesterday and-“

“What you mean they were supposed to pick it up in Clearport?” I asked alarmed by what I was hearing.

“Yes!” She said in a distraught tone.

I sighed and lifted the phone up to my ear to tell Liam to return to the car park. “Li....turn the bus around they’re supposed to be picking it up in Clearport. Aria forgot to mention that didn’t you?” I said turning round to face her with a smirk. There was no point being annoyed by the situation there was nothing we could do apart from turn around and head back.

“What’s happening?” Asked Carmen, who was wadding her way through the aisle holding on to the backs of seats to steady herself.

“We’ve forgotten Sian and Jason. So we’re turning around to head back.” I said rolling my eyes.

Carmen laughed and leaned forward so she had a clear view of Aria. “Tut tut Miss Belle!” She joked. “Oh well. I think our reputation of having problems wherever we plan to go still upholds.”

I laughed with Carmen and nodded in agreement. Even Aria’s concerned look broke with a small smile. When we reached the car park, I could see Jason and Sian sitting in their car which was parked in the middle of the car park facing the entrance.

The bus pulled up parallel to it. When the driver opened the door I rushed out and ran down the steps and headed towards the car.  Jason got out of the car when I came into view.

“Hey. We’d thought you’d gone without us for a minute.” He said jokingly as he opened the boot and lifted two bags out of the back.

“Well yeah...we kinda did...” I said sheepishly.

I watched his reaction; he paused for a minute before setting the second case down a little heavier than he did with the first.

“Jas...stop huffing. I’m sure Becks didn’t mean to.” Sian said walking over to him.
