“I did what?” I exclaimed down the phone to Carmen.

I could hear her and presumably Lily giggling on the other end. “You dared her to do ‘something radical’ and then she decided that she wanted to have a ‘new colour’ for your wedding and then Natasha said that she had some hair dye in her suitcase. So you and her dyed Aria’s hair blue. I did try and talk you out of it but there was no changing Aria. I quote “go away I’m having fun!”  The both of them erupted into laughter whilst I just stood there cringing at last night’s events.

“Oh my god. So did you guys go home? And where’s Natasha?”

“Yeah we came home at about two o’clock. Oh and Natasha was adamant that she was going to drive to her parents last night. She even got in her car. Me and Lily managed to persuade her to get a cab and she finally got out in the end. Well I say cab...Harry ended up driving her there.”

“Really? Oh bless him. So what time was that?”

“Oh she went about one. I got him to pick us up on the way back.”

“Sounds like you’ve got him well trained. I’ll have to get some tips off you next time I’m in work. Which is tomorrow...” I said trailing off and looking at the calendar hung on the office wall.” I exhaled deeply.

“Oh I know. Why does Monday have to come so quickly?”

“I know tell me about it. Well I’ll see you tomorrow. I better go and sort out Aria’s hair before she goes mad.”

Carmen giggled and hung up. I placed the phone down on the kitchen counter and jogged up the stairs and returned to the bathroom.

“Well what did your auntie say?” Aria said sitting on the edge of the bath tub staring at her bright reflection in the bathroom mirror situated above the sink.

“Well I asked her and she said that she didn’t advise you dye it but in an emergency you could.”

“Well seeing that my hair is the colour of Katy Perry’s I would say this is an emergency!”

“Okay well I’ll pop down to the shop and get you some hair dye. I take it you want something near your natural colour?”

“Well ideally yes but honestly I will take anything!” she said emphatically.

I smirked and went on my way in search of hair dye at the local shop. Although I had almost promised blonde hair dye I was beginning to get less and less hopeful when I traced the shelf of my local corner shop. Box after box of red hair dye and a few blue rinse boxes were all I was able to see. With it being a Sunday I was rather limited with the shops I could go to. After much hunting I managed to find a suitable colour despite it being slightly different to how I remembered Aria’s hair to be. I placed the box in the basket at the counter and a lady in her late forties with greying hair swiped the box.

“Going a different colour?” She asked as I handed over a ten pound note. She opened the till and started collecting the change from the different compartments.

“Um...no it’s for a friend actually.” I said taking the change from the lady and sliding the coins off my hand and into my purse.

“Oh was that the girl that came in last night asking if we had any chicken? Poor dear had a little trouble opening the freezer doors and then nearly fell in.” She said with a glint of a smile on her lips.

I rolled my eyes. Oh god. Did she escape from the house last night as well? I nodded uncomfortably and took the hair dye box into my left hand.

“Oh but that’s blonde hair dye so it can’t be her. She was blonde if I remember rightly.”
