Calfreezy: Rooftops

Something was wrong. He was acting too weird, even Harry and Lux had noticed it. He would only maintain a conversation with me for a few minutes before looking down at the ground as if he was guilty about something. He was secretive too. Constantly texting Simon or Josh, avoiding my questions or even me in general. When we were out, he'd hold my hand and stuff but then as soon as he had the chance, he'd be taking phone calls, supposedly to "the guys".

There was only one explanation; he was cheating on me. I'd been trying to put that idea to the back of my mind for the past few weeks, but now I realise that maybe he didn't love me anymore. Maybe I wasn't enough for him?

  "Y/N, I'm heading to Tobi's for a bit." Cal kissed me quickly before shutting the door. I didn't even have a chance to say goodbye. It's like he can't stand to be near me anymore. I love him with all my heart but if he doesn't love me anymore then I'd rather him tell me than just ignore me.

  "Hey Y/N. You okay?" Harry asked as he slumped into the sofa.
  "Cal's acting weird again. Has he told you anything?" I sigh as Harry shrugs.
  "Oh, er...not really." He says quickly making me think he's lying. Why is everyone being so secretive?
  "Yo, yo, yo!" I heard a voice exclaim as Lux burst through the door. He's back from Sarah's early.
  "I thought you weren't coming back until tomorrow afternoon?" I questioned as Lux's eyes widened.
  "Erm, I just felt tired and wanted to be in my own bed. Where's Cal?"

Why was everybody acting so strange? I wish they'd just tell me! These guys are my best friends and roommates yet right now they were acting like strangers. I felt left out and abandoned.

I was about to answer Lux when Harry's phone buzzed with a text message.
  "Right! Let's get her to the rooftop!" Harry nodded his head to Lux as they both grabbed me gently by the arms and pulled me off the sofa.
  "Why are are going up to the roof?" I asked as we left the apartment and headed to the elevator. We walked inside the guys smiling and grinning.
  "You'll see, y/n. Cal wants to speak to you." Harry said pressing the button for the top floor.

So this is it? This is how and when Cal will dump me. Shit. My stomach felt queasy and I wanted to burst into tears. I didn't want to leave Cal, he was my everything. We'd been together for almost 2 years and we'd loved each other, right? I couldn't help but feel guilty. I was the reason he'd fallen out of love with me. I'm so sorry Cal.

The elevator doors slid open and Lux and Harry gently pushed me out onto the roof platform. My jaw dropped, there stood Cal with a huge smile on his face, wearing a white shirt and pants. What was going on? Stood by the rails in front of the stunning view of London were all of the boys, dressed in different types of onesies. The lights from the traffic in the distance and the fairy lights that were hung around the railings made the entire place look magical.

  "Hi, Y/N!" They all smiled as they stood in a line.
  "Er...hi?" I chuckled. I slowly stepped towards Cal as he beamed at me. He held out his hand for me to take as a song started playing. I looked behind Cal to see Sarah singing one of her original songs which I'd always loved. "What is happening?" I whispered as Cal kissed my forehead.

JJ and Ethan started slowly dancing together and laughing loudly. Simon and Tobi began twirling each other around and Josh lifted Vik up.

  "This is for you babe." Cal smiled as I raised my eyebrow to him.
  "What is?" I asked quietly. I saw Harry and Lux now wearing giraffe onesies and recording us on two cameras. Right something was going on!

  "Ever since I first met you, I was constantly distracted by how breathtakingly beautiful you were. You made me speechless and that's saying a lot coming from me. You're so smart that it makes me smile and your humour never fails to make me laugh. I'm so happy that you're in my life and I honestly can't imagine us ever being apart. This journey with you and these twats has been the best thing I've ever done and knowing you're by my side every step of the way just makes me love you even more than I already do."

My eyes were tearing up. My heart was pounding and I was unable to speak. He was so cute. I pulled him in for a kiss as a grin spread across his face. He reached around and pulled something out of his pocket, kneeling down on one knee and grinning up at me. Oh. My. God.

  "Callum?" I sniffed as a tear rolled down my cheek. Cal opened the box and a silver diamond ring glimmered from the fairy lights. I covered my mouth with my hands shocked and surprised. Sarah was still singing amazingly in the background and the guys were stood around us filming. This was crazy!

  "I love you. So much and I can't imagine my life without you. You're a fucking idiot but so am I. You make me so unbelievably happy and every day I spend with you makes everything worthwhile. Y/F/N...will you please do this lanky bastard the honour of marrying me?"

I wiped away a tear and held out my left hand.

  "Of course I will you idiot." I giggled whilst trying to stop crying. Cal grins widely as he slides the ring on my finger and pulls me in for a tight hug. Everyone cheers around us and begins clapping. I kiss Cal on the lips several times before snuggling into his chest.
  "I feel so stupid." I whispered as a kiss is planted on my head.
  "Why?" He laughs quietly into my hair.
  "Because I thought you were cheating on me. All of the phone calls and secrecy." I chuckled embarrassed.
  "I would never cheat on you babe. I was arranging this!" He snickered holding me in his arms.
  "I'm sorry," I sniffed, " I love you."
  "It's alright you muppet. I love you too."
