Happy New Year guys 🎊🎉 let's hope this year is better than the last one!

It was the same old story every year; lounging on the sofa in your pjs with a takeaway watching reruns of tv shows until the inevitable countdown at midnight. Your friends always begged you to go out with them and celebrate the new year coming in but you never felt up to it. There was always a sense of uneasiness about welcoming in a new year. Would it be worse than the previous year? Would it be better?

Anyway, this year you planned to do the same old lonely tradition. In previous years you would sometimes stay at your parents house after Christmas to celebrate the new year with them, but this year your parents had gone on holiday, meaning you were spending the night in your apartment in the Stratford Halo.

But your plans came to a halt when there was a knock at your door. You opened the door revealing Emily, Kayleigh and Freya, your best friends. You were definitely not expecting to see them considering they always partied on New Year's Eve after they had begged you to come with them. This year was no different, but as always you declined.

"Right you, come on." Freya smiled walking into your apartment, the two others following behind.
"What are you guys doing here?" You questioned as you shut the apartment door.
"We are here to take you to the party." Emily said confidently.
"And we are not, and I mean NOT, taking no for an answer." Freya sternly explained.
"You know I don't do New Year's Eve parties..."
"Which is exactly why we all decided this year the party would be closer to you." Kay smirked.
  "What?"
"We're not going clubbing. The party is upstairs." Emily grinned. This meant you had no reason not to go.
"Which means (Y/N) that everyone is gonna be there, there's gonna be food, music, alcohol!" Freya cheered walking into your bedroom.
  "And Cal." Emily mumbled.
"Oh not again." You rolled your eyes.

Of course you were naturally close with all of the boys as well as the girls, however everyone seemed to notice your soft spot for Freezy. You always denied anything other than a friendship being there, but you had to admit there was always a bit of innocent flirting between you two. You never made it develop into anything more because as you already said, it was innocent flirting, nothing more.

"Get yo ass in here and put on everything I've laid out for you." Freya demanded as she walked out of your room, pointing inside.
  "But Frey-"
"Nope. Go in there, put on that stunning outfit and come out here looking smoking hot, babe!" She demanded, gently pushing you into the bedroom and closing the door.

You looked at the outfit that Freya had lay out on your bed; an olive blouse, black jeans and black ankle boots; an outfit you would typically wear on a night out, opposed to the short dresses and knee length boots that the other girls would wear. You took off your pjs and changed into the outfit, tying up your messy hair and looking into the mirror. You were never really good with makeup, most of the time opting to wear none at all apart from concealer and mascara.

"Need some help?" Kay smiled peeking her head through the door.
"Please." You nodded with a chuckle. Kay stepped in, shutting the door which muted the talking of Emily and Freya outside.
"I'm going to make you look the bomb.com." Kay chuckled as you handed her a small makeup bag, which contained makeup that you had never even opened.
"It's gonna take a lot." You smile sitting down on your desk chair, Kay sitting on the end of your bed in front of you.

You opened the door, stepping out into the hallway. The girls were in the kitchen/living room area and were talking among themselves as you walked in. You noticed another girl was in your apartment in between Emily and Frey. She was a little bit shorter than the other girls and wore a short black dress, thick glasses and had brunette hair; Gee.
