Manny: Raindrops

What used to be a bright blue sunny sky was now turning overcast and windy. You had your arm linked with your boyfriend Manny, in a fast paced walk to get home before the inevitable rain started pouring down. You weren't prepared for a sudden change in weather, just wearing a pair of blue skinny jeans and a long maroon t-shirt, Manny wearing jeans also with an England football shirt and a jacket.

  "Babe, we're gonna get soaked!" Manny chuckles as the city gets darker, grey clouds covering every inch of the sky.
  "I know, we're not even close to the house either!" You giggle as cars pass you on the road.
  "It's alright babe." Manny laughed as you felt a drop of rain on your nose. Let it begin, you thought. "You felt that, right?" Manny asked as he wiped a raindrop from his cheek.
  "It's happening!" You squeal as more raindrops fall around you, some landing on your face.
  "Shit!" Manny cackled as you two began jogging, the rain now pouring down.

Your hair was now drenched and sticking to your face, your clothes also completely soaked. Manny was now tightly holding your hand as you both ran down the pavement, your feet splashing as you both tried to find shelter. People passed you, holding umbrellas as they tried to get out of the rain too. You were annoyed that you didn't even bring a coat.

  "Where are we going to go? Everywhere is closing!" Manny laughs as you look at all the shops you were passing. It was getting late so everywhere was packing up for the night.
  "Just go in the park!" You chuckled as you passed the Hyde Park entrance, Manny gently pulling you with him as he jogged over to a shelter of trees. This was the only place close enough to get dry. The rain was bouncing down, thunder roaring through the clouds. You stood underneath the trees, the water dripping from you as you panted out of breath, still laughing. Manny's jacket was waterproof so it was still completely dry, the only parts of him soaked were his hair and his face.

  "Jesus it's freezing." You shivered still smiling. Manny took off his jacket and placed it around your shoulders, the warmth instantly concealing you. "Manny no." You sighed trying to take it off.
  "Baby, honestly I'm warm and dry. Look at you, you're soaked and cold!" He chuckled pulling you into a hug.

These past few months with Manny were the best you'd ever had. You'd been in relationships before but there was something about Manny that made you smile even just by the mention of his name. He made you laugh and he cared for you. He always protected you and you'd even met his parents and his brothers. He adored you and you loved him, even though you'd never exchanged those three words. You were scared that maybe he didn't feel the same just yet.

  "Thank you Manny." You smiled as you nuzzled your head into his chest.
  "It's alright princess." He grinned stroking the wet pieces of hair from your face. "I'll always take care of you, you're my everything and I love you." He said.

Those words were music to your ears. He actually told you he loved you for the first time. Manny was scared to say those words to you, also thinking you didn't feel the same. This was just one moment that he couldn't help but hide it anymore, he had to tell you how much you meant to him.

  "I love you too." You replied as he leant down and kissed your lips, his kisses soft and gentle.
  "I mean it...I do love you." He says seriously.
  "I know you do. I love you too." You giggled.
