It had been a week since my first day of class but I still found myself getting lost constantly. Unfortunately, my handsome tour guide has never shown up again so I already have about 6 tardies. Not that there were really any repercussions other than me getting angry at myself.

I had just finished my lunch when I decided to start heading to class about 15 minutes early so maybe I could get there on time. As I walked down the main hall, I saw Tyler, the small boy who was talking about evolution on the first day, talking to a familiar shape. "My dashing stranger" I thought to myself, I could feel my cheeks glowing red as I thought of him. I'd admit this to no one, but I had been thinking about him since we meet.

As I got closer I could hear Tyler yell "NO, YOU'RE OUT OF THE BAND" I laughed quietly, even though it had nothing to do with me. When my dashing stranger turned around to meet my eyes. He smiled/smirked and I could instantly feel my face flash a brighter red. "This isn't high school" a voice inside me yelled, "you have got to stop acting like a 15 year old idiot."

"Oh, it's you." Tyler said in his normal laid back but also overly dramatic fashion. He turned back to his friend and said "this is Allison, she's in like 4 of my classes."

"Salutations, I'm Josh." He left his hands in his pockets but smiled widely. He didn't mention us meeting before, so I didn't say anything either. Maybe he's already forgotten about you. Convincing voices spoke.

"Josh." I said looking him up and down. He looked good. His same black skinny jeans with holes in the knees, but this time with a white short sleeved button up and a baseball cap on backwards, even with a baseball cap on there were still brown curls sticking out around the rim. "It's good to meet you."

All of a sudden I was very thankful that I had spent some extra time on my outfit this morning even though the whole thing felt very juvenile at the time.

"I'll let you get back too..." I gestured towards where Tyler had been leaning up against a wall only to find him not there.

Josh chuckled at my confused face, "he's here on a basketball scholarship, he's very fast. I'm faster though." He seemed way more shy and reserved this time.

"Well I was just on my way to go get lost." I said starting to walk off. As much as I wanted to talk to him, I really couldn't handle being late. Again.

"Wait, can I come with you?" Josh said catching up to me. Knowing I would need directions, I nodded. "Which building are we going to?" he questioned.

"Lewis Hall". After an awkward pause, I found a moment of overcoming anxiety and asked, "So, you're out of the band, huh?"

Josh glanced down at me sadly. "I guess so, you quit your job for the guy and you play one show with him and he kicks you out. That's showbiz though, right?" He said.

"Not really" I muttered.

Josh laughed. I liked it when he did that even if he was laughing at me. His laugh was so warm. It made me feel safe.

"Did you really quit your job for him?" I ask as we continue down halls, Josh directing me where to go when I got off course.

"Yeah, I didn't like that job much anyways. I quit to fill in for the normal drummer, but I guess I wasn't very good or I wouldn't have been kicked out."

I laughed at this, he let out a small, sad sigh as we approached my classroom.

"I'll see you around, Josh?" I said shyly. I felt safe around him even though I had no reason too. I didn't like the idea of not really knowing when I'd see him next.

"Yeah, I'll see you later. It was fun walking with you, Ally." Josh said smiling at the ground and picking at the skin around his thumb nail. I smiled and blushed at this nickname. No one had called me 'Ally' since 4th grade. I didn't pay much attention to the lecture that day. I kept thinking about how calm I felt with Josh.

Tyler was in my next class. I wanted so badly to walk up and ask him for Josh's phone number. But the voices in my head kept shouting at me how weird and creepy that would be.

Half way through the class I excuse myself to the restroom. When I return, there is a small scrap of paper that has a phone number scrawled across it. Under the number it says 'text to reach one of the sickest guys around - Josh".

I looked around the room and meet eyes with Tyler who quickly, smiled, blushed and looked down.

"This has to be a joke" I thought "there is no way he likes you enough to give you his real phone number." But then again, Josh seemed to sweet to do anything else.
