Thousands of words , but she couldn't respond. Thousands of pricks and pokes, she couldn't even say ouch. Chay's mother started calling her 'Sleepy Beauty'. She could hear EVERYTHING that was being said since the accident. Chay could feel Kade's breath when he would hover over her , and rub her hands gently like they were a piece of expensive china. Chay was going into her Junior year ...and nothing would ever be the same...
"Chay, I know you may not hear me, but I brought you some balloons and gifts. I'm going to blow up Kade's phone everyday to check on you, everyone at school is so worried. I'll be visiting every Saturday after swim practice , I love you girl ". It was Morgan, Chay could even tell through teared up words of encouragement and concern.
Chay didn't hear much out of Kade today , just typing...
"Chay , I'm doing everything I can for you, we're going to find out who did this to you. I love you , rest well my love", Kade said as he kissed her on the forehead.
Chay assumed Kade left the room because the typing stopped. There was a knock at the door.
"Hello? Oh it's just who I was wanting to talk to", a low husky voice. "You must be very upset that this has happened", is it that obvious? , " but there is a point of why I'm here, I was the one who hit you..who am I? You may ask , well that's for me to know , and your precious self to find out. Sweet dreams sweetheart"
What just happened? Chay heard her heart pace beep higher and higher on the machine , the nurse rushed in , and called for the Doctor.
"Her heart has a very fast pace", the nurse said.
"I see that, we're going to have to move her to our private room -" , the Dr. said.
"What's going on?!!", Chay faintly heard Kade asked terrified. She couldn't barely hear the Doctor anymore, Kade was asking so many questions , machines going off one after another. She could feel her bed moving , she didn't know where she was headed.. the Doctor mentioned something about a private room , but what was that?
Chay wished she could speak , cry ,laugh, or even just flinch to try to get out of this coma.
Life was never easy , but this was an extreme roller coaster ride...and it felt like there was no ending ...
