After the riddle was told the call was ended. Chay didn't move a single inch. Kade was fed up with everything. He didn't feel like playing games and solving riddles , he wanted answers and he wanted them now!
Everything was so confusing , and Kade had so many questions. Why haven't any kind of Doctor or Specialist come in and update him on anything? Why hasn't Chay woken up yet? Why did it have to be her? And Kade didn't want patty cake answers , he wanted real ones.
Kade walked outside of the room , and goes to the nurse's station.
"Hello Sir , can I help you?", the nurse said frantically as she gathered papers around her station.
"Yes, I would like to know when the Doctor will be coming in Chay's room?"
"What room is she located in?"
"The Doctor called it the the private room..I'm not really sure if it has a number"
The nurse just like looked at him like he was a ghost. "Ma'am is there a problem?" , he asked.
"Oh no sir, I just didn't know someone was in that room"
"Yeah she's been in there for a few days , and ever since they transferred her the doctor hasn't came in and said anything"
"Just one second sir , I'll have to page him". Kade just looked around , and saw a few nurses just staring and talking. He also saw a patient practicing physical therapy with a nurse walking the halls.
The nurse came back and said, "Sir, the Doctor is making his rounds and he'll make his way back to her room in just a few minutes. Is there anything else that you need? Would you like a Sprite or some coffee?"
"A coffee would be great, thanks". The nurse poured the cup of coffee , and handed him some cream and sugar. "Let me know if you need anything else"
"Okay , thank you so much". Kade walked into Chay's room , and lied down in the hospital chair and just drifted off into a deep sleep.
{ 2 hours later}
Kade woke up and walked up to Chay and gently stroked her hair, he couldn't stand seeing her like this.
"I wish you could just wake up", he kissed her on her forehead. When he began to walk out he heard a moan.
"Chay? Are you awake?!", Kade asked as he ran to her bed with so much anticipation. "If you hear me move your finger".
Chay just breathed heavy and slowly brushed her index finger against her middle finger. Kade ran to the nurse's station and said , "I need a nurse or a doctor!"
"Mr. Kade what's seems to be the problem? What's going on with Chay?" , the Doctor came out asking frantically.
"She moved", Kade said with a huge smile.
"She moved? What do you mean?"
"Well I told her if she could hear me then move your finger, and she rubbed her fingers together"
"Wow that's great Kade! I'll be in there in just few minutes to check her vitals , and we'll go from there"
"Okay sounds good, I'll be waiting", Kade said walking away.
When he walked in her room , he could tell she shifted around in the bed. About 10 minutes later the Doctor came in and took her temperature and blood pressure.
"Can you tell if she'll be waking soon?", Kade asked.
"Well since this is her 11th day here , and if she isn't fully awake in 3 days then we'll have to put her on life support and keep her on oxygen", the Doctor replied, "I'll be taking her to have X-rays done to see if she has any brain or lung damage, I should be able to tell by now".
