Silent Night

"Oh Chay!", Kade exclaimed and embraced her and didn't ever want to let go.

"Kade", Chay replied softly and her voice sounded raspy as well. Kade let go and was just at awe and full of joy. He leaned down and pressed the nurse's button on her bed.

"Hello Kade , how can I help you?",the nurse said nicely.

"I have great news...Chay has woken up"

"Oh that's amazing , I'll page the Doctor immediately", the nurse said quickly and hung up.

Within 15 minutes the Doctor came in and said, "It's good to see you awake Ms. Chay , I was so surprised when the nurse paged me. You have an amazing brother taking of you". Chay's tired eyes just glanced at Kade and slowly said, "Yeah , he's a keeper alright".

"Chay, now that you're awake I can take a few tests to see if you have brain or lung damage , and after that I'll give a recommendation for a physical therapist and water therapy"

"Doc, why would she need water therapy? I mean physical therapy I understand..but water therapy?", Kade asked concerned.

"Well Kade , she'll need to get her blood flowing and her muscles to get stronger, it'll only be for 5 weeks anyways"

"Oh alright, I completely understand"

"Kade I get it, you want the best for your little sis and you have nothing to worry about , she is in the best of hands"

"Alright , thanks Doc for everything", Kade kindly said to the Doctor walked out.

"Well babe , here we go into another adventure", Kade said so gentle and kind , as Chay just smiled with so much thankfulness.

* * * 7 months later * * *

Within these months , Chay got alot better. Her muscles and bones became stronger, and her love for Kade grew everyday. She took the water and physical therapy, it went just as planned. There was 7 days until Christmas, the first Christmas that Chay and Kade are going to be together. Chay was walking, talking , and functioning as normal.

Kade and Chay was watching Elf , and she was so engaged in the movie , Kade couldn't help but watch her. He broke her gaze by asking, "So sweetheart , what do you want for Christmas?". She looked up at him and, said "Whatever will make me happy , and that's you", as she said that she leaned in pressed her lips against his ,and he did the same.

Kade pulled away and said, "But babe seriously, what do you want?"

Chay looked at him in the eyes and said , "I would like to have my mother over for Christmas dinner". Chay has been staying at Kade's house since she was released from the hospital, Jared helped take care her as well while Amy worked. Brianna and Antonio went back to Nashville , and got married while she was in the hospital. Chay could already tell Kade didn't like the idea of sharing dinner with them.

"Honey, I know we've been through alot in the past 8 or 7 months ,but Chay she hasn't called or visited ever since her last visit at the hospital, let alone while you were in therapy", Kade replied.

"I know I know ,but I just want to invite her and we'll see where it goes"

"But Chay she'll want to take you with her, and I don't think I can go through losing you again"

"I won't let her, I promise", Chay reassured and kissed him on the cheek, "she won't stay very long..I know her , she won't stay where she's uncomfortable"

"Okay , well Jared and I are here if things get hectic"

"I know , that's why I love you", Chay said quietly as she kissed him with passion and love, nothing could ruin this moment.
