Checkmate

Kade and Jared left the hotel and they've been on the same road for a good two hours.

"Caleb I swear to God if you get me lost , I'm going to kill you", Jared was talking to Caleb and getting directions , and was also driving. This whole time Kade had been sleeping in the passenger's seat.

"Look I've driven the same road before ,so just trust me", Caleb replied trying to reassure him.

"Wait when did you drive this road?", Jared asked aggrevated.

"Never mind that , I'll tell you some other time"

"Dude all I have is time, so speak up and enlighten me"

"No it'll bore you"

"I already am, so go on. One story won't hurt"

Caleb spoke up all right. He told Jared everything.

"So you're telling me that you betrayed all of us, and letting that idiot know where Chay was at all times?!", Jared was livid.

"Look I know your mad, but trust me I'm getting you to Chay"

"I think mad is an understatement buddy. How could you Caleb? You were her friend ,and she always said good things about you. How do you even sleep at night?"

"What's going on?", Kade asked awoken by Jared.

Jared continued talking to Caleb as if Kade hadn't said a word.

"You betrayed her ,and set us all up. Caleb we will find her on our own , goodbye"

"Jared what is going on? Is she okay?", Kade said rubbing his eyes.

"Yeah Chay is fine as far as I know of, but I just found out that Caleb has been on Westyn's side since your prom night"

So many emotions flooded over Kade. He was angry, devastated, sad, and most of all disappointed.

"You're joking.. he would do that"

"I wish I was joking Kade ,but he told me that himself"

Before Kade say anything ,Jared's phone starting ringing. It said Chay ,but he knew it was really Caleb.

"I'm not answering it", Jared said coldly.

"I want to hear what he wants to say", Kade said hoping this wasn't true.

"Hello?"

"Kade?"

It wasn't Caleb who answered the phone. It was Chay.

Chay's heart skipped a beat when she heard Kade's voice.

"Chay? but how did Caleb get the phone to you?"

"I can't talk right now because it's safe to assume that he's recording our conversation right now, but please whatever you do be careful"

"I always am ,but where are you?"

"I would love to tell you but I don't know , just keep trying use the tracking app or whatever Jared has on his laptop"

"Okay are you okay? Are you hurt?" Kade was rambling for words to say before their conversation ended.

"Yeah I'm not hurt- look I gotta go that's him" Chills rolled down Kade's back when she said that.
