Merry Christmas

It had been five days since the Westyn fiasco. Chay was getting more sleep ,but the nightmares were worse than ever before.

"Kade?!!", Chay said running towards his voice once more in the darkness.

"Chay , I'm here and nobody is going to hurt you", she heard him say. Chay started to weep when she couldn't find him, and she was running of breath. She stopped running when she saw a masculine figure about ten feet away from her. It was so dark she couldn't tell if it was Kade or not. "Kade?", she said faintly still trying to catch her breath. The masculine figure just shook his head yes , and started to walk towards her. With every step the man took the more Chay's stomach turned. She said, "Who are you?!". Suddenly he disappeared , and Chay turned around to run but it was to late. She quickly found out who the man was ...it was Westyn. He smiled wickedly showing his teeth and said, "You haven't seen the last of me sweetheart"

Chay woke up screaming. It was the forth time in a row this week. There was only 2 more days until Christmas, and it didn't seem very jolly. Kade came running out his room, and sat down next to Chay on the couch. He didn't say anything to her. He just hugged her, and his comfort meant more than words.

"Hey, why don't you sleep in my bed tonight", he whispered. Chay didn't want to intrude into his privacy.

"No it's okay", Chay's voice was almost gone.

Kade wouldn't take no for an answer and said, "C'mon Chay, it reassures me that your safe...and you'll be with me and nobody is going to hurt you". Chay has quickly turned toward him. She has just heard those words from her dream. Kade smiled at her patiently waiting for her say something.

"Okay", Chay said drained. She began to get up and walk to his room, but Kade stopped her by picking her up princess style. She laid her head down on his shoulder and whispered , "I can walk you know".

"I know Chay, but if you don't have to you're not going to....that's why I'm here", Kade whispered back kissing her on the cheek. He walked into his room , and laid her down on the bed so gently like she was a glass baby doll. He climbed in next to her wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and covered her with a blanket. Chay looked up at him and said quietly , "Thank you".

"Your welcome..I love you", Kade said, but before Chay could reply she was already fast asleep. After a few minutes Kade fell asleep peacefully holding her.

Kade woke up the next morning, and Chay was still sleeping. He carefully got out of his bed trying not to wake up, thankfully she didn't. He covered her back up with the blanket , and walked out the room. Kade walked into the kitchen and Jared was sitting at the kitchen table eating cereal.

"Good morning little bro, how did you sleep last night?", he asked.

"Okay I guess, Chay had a nightmare last night"

"Again? Geez Kade that's crazy"

"Yeah I know...I don't know what to do, I let her sleep in my bedroom with me to make her feel better"

"What? You guys slept together?"

"Get your head out of the gutter Jared", Kade said laughing. Before Jared could say anything Chay came in the kitchen still in her pajamas with a little bit of bed head.

"Good morning Chay", Jared watching her sit down next to Kade.

"Good morning", she said with barely a voice, "I'm sorry if I woke you up last night"

"No worries, I can sleep through anything", Jared said , "I'm guessing you slept well". He starting laughing so hard he almost fell off of his chair , "I'm sorry..I'm done", he said between laughs. Chay just shook her head blushing.
