JESY WOKE THE next morning with her head buried underneath the bed covers. Her messy hair was spread all around the pillow and her still damp face from all the tears stuck to the pillow slightly, due to the smudged make-up that had run down her face.

She delicately picked herself up and pulled the covers down from her face. She took a look at the clock, but then took a double-take as she couldn't remember the time from the first time she looked. It read; 14:17.

"Stupid 24-hour time," Jesy muttered while figuring out what the time was in 12-hour time.

She soon figured out it was 2:17 PM. How did she sleep in so long? She lazily picked herself up from the bed and walked into the bathroom. She groggily grabbed her toiletry and makeup bag and looked at herself in the mirror.

Same as the morning before, she looked like a train-wreck. She sighed to herself and put her head in her cold hands. There was only one week and five more days for her to find three million dollars. It was an impossible mission, but Jesy had to try. She knew she had to. All that she cared for was at stake. Everything she worked for would all come crumbling down if she didn't try.

So, with a new sense of urgency and confidence, she stripped down and hopped in the shower, getting ready for another day's work. After washing herself clean from all the grime of yesterday, she grabbed fresh new clothes and put them on. After lacing up her usual Doc Martins, a black pair today, she grabbed her makeup bag and put on foundation, lipstick and mascara. Feeling satisfied with her appearance, she left the bathroom and picked up her purse.

She put the coins and notes she earned from the day before in a bright pink safe that Jade kept in the room. Jade thought that no one knew the password, but she was wrong and the three other girls had eaten all of Jade's secret stash of biscuits while she was in the shower, the morning of the kidnap. Therefore, there was nothing in the safe, making it a good place to store the money Jesy earned. Jesy chuckled at the thought of Leigh-Anne, Perrie and herself stuffing their once clean faces with biscuits and how Jade never found out. Because they got stolen.

Jesy sighed and rubbed her clammy hands across her plaid jeans. Picking up the hat from yesterday, she grabbed the hotel keys and left, finding a different street to busk on for the day. She was still not sure if she needed a licence or not, but she had to earn money, and that was the only way she could think of doing so right then, even if it was illegal.

She placed her very little amount of things on the ground and started singing the songs from when the girls were on X-Factor. It calmed her down a lot. She sang her little heart out, hoping for a miracle to occur.

"Ouch!" Leigh-Anne whispered, while Zayn lightly touched the affected area of the gun shot.

"Sorry," Zayn sighed, while slouching into the ground, pulling his hand away.

They both sat in silence, no one really knowing how to comfort the other in such a doomed situation. Zayn listened carefully to Leigh-Anne's uneven breathing. She was sure to die if someone professional didn't tend to her wound soon. Lack of blood was a very common way to die when it comes to gun shots.

"Why don't they just get it over and done with?" Leigh-Anne breathed, suddenly and softly, her voice barely audible.

Zayn sat up, an eyebrow raised, "What do you mean?"

"Why don't they just kill us now, instead of putting us in all this emotional and physical pain? Why do they torture us? I'd rather die," Leigh-Anne elaborated, looking in Zayn's eyes intently.

"What?" Zayn breathed.

"I want to die," Leigh-Anne repeated, "Wouldn't you rather instead of all this?"

Zayn thought about it. It would have been an easier option, most certainly. They could have just gotten it over and done with. It'd be less difficult. But, then he would have never been able to see Liam, Niall, Harry and Louis - those crazy idiots he loved so much - ever again. What would have happened to One Direction? What about Perrie?

"Perrie!" Zayn shouted, then quickly covered his mouth with his hand, looking around him to see if anyone had took notice.

Leigh-Anne jumped slightly, a bit startled by Zayn's sudden outburst. Then, she gave Zayn a sideward glance, raising a eyebrow.

"What about her?" Leigh-Anne asked.

"I set her free!" Zayn whisper-shouted, "She's out there somewhere. She could be getting help as we speak!"

Leigh-Anne's chocolate coloured eyes widened. She thought about what this meant and she would've broken into a smile if she wasn't in the situation she was in right now.

She threw her good arm into the air, dramatically, "I have something to live for!"

Zayn chuckled slightly, then stood up. He extended his long arm out for Leigh-Anne to take. She took it and he heaved her up.

"Let's go," Zayn said, nodding towards the door.

"Where?" Leigh-Anne asked, stumbling after him, feeling extremely dizzy.

"We need answers," Zayn explained, rattling the door handle before finally opening it, "We need to find out why they want us so bad and what they're up to."

Leigh-Anne gulped and nodded, her luscious ringlets bobbing as she did so. She quickly scurried after Zayn, wondering what in the world they had just gotten themselves into.
