PERRIE WOKE AND immediately felt a massive lump on the back of her head. She wondered where whoever hit her had taken her. Being somewhat courageous, she opened her eyes to see what lay ahead of her, only to be met by a pair of emerald green eyes. Perrie shrieked and jumped back at how close they were.
"Harry!" she whisper-shouted angrily, "Why were you doing that?"
"I didn't know if you were awake or not," he shrugged and Perrie scowled.
She liked Harry - she did. He was a good lad. But, he could get annoying. Especially in tight situations like this.
"Where are we?" Perrie hissed.
"I don't know," Harry answered, "I saw you crumpled on the floor, came and checked to see if you were okay and then someone knocked me out."
Perrie blinked at Harry. She didn't realise the same thing could trick two different people twice. They both did the knock out from behind trick on Harry and herself. Wow. Either the criminals were extremely smart, or Harry and her were extremely dumb. Perrie liked to believe the former.
"We've been here for hours," Harry informed Perrie.
He scratched the back of his neck, "Only one person has come to check up on us so far."
"What did he say?" Perrie asked, suddenly interested.
"Nothing," Harry answered.
Perrie slouched against the wall and sighed. She was getting tired of this. At least she didn't have to kill the Prime Minister. She shuddered at the thought. Imagine if she actually did it.
Harry looked around the room quietly. Perrie didn't seem to want to talk and that was fine by him. He never understood why Perrie hated him so much. Maybe it was because he was flirty? Or maybe he said something that had upset her? Zayn would have been on his case if that was the problem, he was sure of it. He always wondered what it was about himself that Perrie hated. She always had an everlasting scowl when he was around.
He slouched on the wall opposite the one Perrie was stationed at and closed his eyes, humming his favourite tune. It always seemed to calm him down in situations like these. Actually, he'd never been kidnapped before, but it still calmed him down.
"Could you shut up?" Perrie snapped.
"No," Harry snapped back.
Perrie stared wide-eyed at him. He's never retorted back with her before. She could understand it - she was always bitchy around him - but, it wasn't her fault. He just always frustrated her. Harry smirked at her before closing his eyes and humming again.
Perrie just kept on staring, her mouth slightly ajar. She knew that this was going to be a painful wait.
Jesy woke the next morning in the same position she must've fallen asleep in. She lazily picked herself off of the floor and headed towards the bathroom. When she saw the state she was in, she burst into tears again.
How was she going to earn three million dollars by the end of two weeks? She shakily drew in a few sharp breaths to try and calm herself. It helped a little, but every now and then a tear would still run down her cheek.
She looked in the mirror again and almost cried again at the sight of herself. Her cheeks were blotchy. Her makeup was smudged everywhere and her eyes were red and puffy. She cleaned herself up until she looked decent enough before checking out of the hotel.
She walked out into the streets of Sydney and breathed in the fresh air she needed. She decided she'd have to look for a job somewhere. She willed herself forward, but stopped suddenly. She didn't have a Visa. She couldn't work here if she wasn't a Citizen of Australia without a Visa.
She sighed to herself. Maybe she could busk. She smiled to herself. Did you need a busking license in Australia? (A/N yes you do need one). She wasn't sure, but it was worth a try.
She found a nice looking boutique and bought a cheap hat that people could drop money into when they walked by. Then, she picked a relatively busy - but not too busy - street and started singing softly at first, but she got louder and louder as more and more confidence built inside of her.
Some people walked by and smiled. Some people even dropped a few coins into her hat. She would wave to the cute little kids while singing when they walked by. She could get used to this, most definitely.
By the end of the day she had made $63.15, which was pretty good. But she knew that if it kept up like that, she was going to be nowhere near the price that was needed to save her dear Leigh-Anne. She sulked into the hotel she remembered was the one they were staying at and checked into her room.
She showered and changed into something different as the clothes she was wearing were starting to get a bit smelly. She lazily rolled into bed and pulled the covers over the top of her head. She thought about how Leigh-Anne's eyes lit up and sparkled when she laughed. She thought about how Perrie's smile could make anyone happy in a instant. She thought about how Jade's voice - even though it was soft - could reel in anyone and leave you breathless. These were her sisters and she couldn't let them die.
But she knew she couldn't find the money on time and this left her heartbroken. The hazel-eyed girl cried herself to sleep, knowing it was over.
