Jade had been acting strange for days and Justin couldn’t put a finger as to why. She slept in late every morning now, went to bed earlier at night and during the day she kept Justin as busy as possible, despite his already jam packed schedule. He was more than excited to have a regular night with his girl and his friends though but he was worried. Justin was worried about how the night was going to go, he’d let almost no one see him since he’d woken up and realized that he may never walk again, and even less people saw him once he’d gotten home. He was better now, the anger was still there sometimes, just beneath the surface, when he woke up in the morning he there were those first few moments when everything felt normal, like the accident never happened. But then he felt nothing below his waist and the fantasy vanished and the anger reappeared. The only thing to make the anger dissipate was the sight, smell, and sound of Jade sleeping next to him. Her long chestnut hair was always splayed across the pillows in a frenzied tendril of curls, he often woke up with it on his face. Her skin always smelled like a mixture of ivory and vanilla, the smell of hope for Justin. She always snored in her sleep, lightly like a child, and she mumbled too. Justin loved waking up next to her, he couldn’t be angry anymore once he realized that because of him she was alive. He’d been awful to her and his friends these past months and he hoped that tonight could somewhat make up for that.

He couldn’t find his phone anywhere and it was still driving him crazy, he had nothing to do. There was something wrong with the living room TV and his laptop was nowhere in sight either. He couldn’t even play games on his iPhone because it was somewhere in the goddamn house. Justin sighed and parked his chair in front of the back windows. His house overlooked one of the most beautiful landscapes in Los Angeles, even though he didn’t live in Los Angeles. He loved to sit there at night with Jade on his lap and watch the moon and the stars, it was one of the more beautiful parts of his life.

“I’m back!” Jade said as she came through the front door, Phillip her bodyguard trailing behind her with a few bags in his hands.

“What did you go out for?” Justin asked, wheeling into the kitchen.

“Food. Drinks. Stuff,” Jade smiled. As Justin reached for a bag filled with boxes Jade quickly snatched it before he touched it. “I’ll take this one!” she said and bounded up the stairs, bag in hand.

“What’s in there?” Justin asked curiously.

Phillip made the zipping motion over his lips and smiled in a friendly way at Justin.

“You know I hate secrets!” Justin said as Jade came back into the room.

“Wah,” she faked a pout. “Oh by the way I accidentally took your phone with me,” she giggled. “Sorry I thought it was mine but mine was in my purse I guess,”.

“No worries,” Justin said. “The TV is broken I think. Can you call a guy to come out and fix it? We’ll need it tonight,”

“Not broken. I unplugged them when I was vacuuming the other day,”

“You don’t vacuum.” Justin said.

“Esmeralda did I mean. Whatever its unplugged. But let’s not watch TV right now, we can watch Netflix,”.

“Netflix,” Justin smirked.

Watching Netflix for Justin and Jade wasn’t really watching Netflix. It was them putting on some random show that they were into at the moment and acting like teenagers.

“Mm,” Jade moaned into Justin’s mouth. “Mm,”.

Justin moved his lips to Jade’s neck and attached them there. Suddenly he bit down, making Jade gasp. “Look I’m Damon Salvatore,” Justin chuckled and nibbled playfully at her skin.
