Jason's Flashback
THURSDAY
"Mr. Goodman, this was delivered to you."
Jason muted the tv to look at Alfred carrying a large cardboard box.
"Oh, thanks, Alfred, you can put it in the gym, please?"
Jason played cool, and kept facing the tv, even if he wasn't paying any attention.
Is it?
I think so.
I admit it, now even I'm excited about those swords.
He waited for Alfred to leave the gym before running to open the box. A grin lit his face when he saw the weapons carefully wrapped.
Thanks for letting me buy them.
As long as you teach me how to use so I can play with them after you leave, I'm good.
Flashback over, back to present
WEDNESDAY
Jason excused himself to go to the restroom during lunch after David accidentally dropped some soda in his shirt, while waving his hands to tell a history.
Do we still have a clean shirt in your locker?
I don't remember if we do or if we used the last one yesterday.
Jason stared himself in the mirror.
Maybe take the worst with paper and let it dry on its own.
It's an idea, it's not that cold as last we...
Their thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door hitting the wall when someone pushed it with too much force in their rush to reach one of the toilets.
Hum. Someone needed to go really bad.
Jason looked the teen kneeling down next to a toilet through the mirror.
Wait, is that a... girl? Are we in the wrong restroom?
He looked around, spotting the urinals.
No, right restroom. She is the one mistaken.
The girl started coughing and throwing up.
Can't really blame her. She was obviously in a rush.
Should we leave her? Help her?
I don't know, this is kind of a unique situation.
Jason froze, not sure what to do, while the girl continued to empty her stomach. He was relieved when she stopped, only to tense up again when she started sobbing, with her head and her arm on the porcelain.
That is likely the worst thing to do in a public's restroom.
I can't leave her like that.
Jason took a step in her direction, cautiously.
"Hum, hello? Sorry, can I help you?"
The girl cut her sobs in a second and turned to look at him, scared. Jason suspected she would be blushing from embarrassment, but her dark skin made it hard to see, even if she was so pale in her own way for throwing up. Her breath sped up, and he crouched, holding his hands in front of him, talking in a soothing voice.
"Ssshh, calm down, I just want to help."
She somewhat composed herself enough to whisper.
"You're in the wrong restroom."
