SUNDAY

"Well, here..."

"Let me pay, Frank. Here."

"But..."

"What is the point of fighting me? I paid the cab, big deal."

"We could have at least split..."

"You can pay the cab from when we leave, if that makes you feel better."

I don't understand, why can't we pay?

I have no idea. If I was Hazel I could understand, but I don't need this type of chivalry.

Reyna snapped back to reality when the gate to John's mansion opened and stepped inside, with Frank by her side.

H: Call me.

H: Pick my call, Regina.

H: Don't be childish, pick the phone.

H: Please, don't make this hard.

H: Happy Thanksgiving, Regina.

Reyna discreetly closed her phone with seven missed calls and went back to pick on her food.

Are you sure?

Yes. Maybe this way she'll know she is not welcome to move here after so many years, and now, of all times!

She's just trying to get closer to you.

Terrible timing to do it.

Frank's voice interrupted her thoughts.

"What is wrong, Jason? Headache? John?"

Jason loosened the grip he had in his head.

"John keeps asking when is Percy returning his car."

Reyna frowned.

"Why is Percy with his car?"

"He drove me, Annabeth and Piper to the play. The plan was for him to drop me off for last and take a cab to his place."

"What happened to this plan?"

"He decided to drop Annabeth last so he could talk to her parents. By the way, Frank, we saw you blocking one of those guys from attacking Hazel. John was very impressed."

Frank shrugged, looking to the side.

"Nothing much. It wasn't that different from using an elephant shape."

I swear, when we find out how did Adam heard about the play...

You mean, who tipped it off?

Yeah.

It was probably one of them, but I can't start pointing fingers, mostly because if they know who was, they will all claim the blame to hide the person.

It's really annoying to admire this level of loyalty when I want to hate it.

Reyna chuckled, ignoring the surprised stares from Frank and Jason. Her phone vibrated in her pocket and the smile vanished at the sudden(but not unexpected) wave of displeasure coming from Regina.

Again? Isn't she going to give up? I won't answer her!

"Reyna, are you gonna tell us why did you get so angry all of sudden?"

Great, another one trying to pry.

Reyna took a deep breath and held Jason's eyes.

"I'm not angry."
