Bet

  I just got a salad and a water, trying to keep fit for the off season. Football is everything to me, so I take conditioning very seriously. I ran into Deon in the line and just sat with him. We chatted for a minute and I spotted Adrianna.
     "Oh no, no" Deon chuckled. "She's a waste of time"
     "How come" I asked
     "She curves every nigga that comes her way" he exclaimed " All she does is worry about school, she's no fun. She got so much attitude on top of that"
      "You tried talking to her, huh" I asked. He scoffed.
     "Hell yeah" Deon yelled "Every nigga here has"
     I saw her sitting with a guy a big afro and a girl with blue eyes and dark brown hair.
    "Oh, the guy is Diamond and the girl is Jade" Deon clarified " Diamond is cool, gay as hell, but cool. Jade's fine ass is cool too, but I got that ass on lock so she's off limits"
   I began laughing. I didn't care if Jade was his or not. Don't get me wrong she's pretty and all, but I want Adrianna. I saw her look at me and roll her eyes at me. Little did she know I like challenges, I tapped Deon.
    "I bet you any money, I can get Adrianna before the end of the school year" I told him. He laughed.
   "I'm only saying bet, because I would love to see you try" He chuckled "Bet"
He shook my hand.

"Damn fine ass new boy staring at you" Diamond exclaimed
   I turned around to see Travis. I rolled my eyes and returned them back to my lunch. Diamond clicked his tongue.
    "Why you gotta act like that" he asked
    "Act like what"I said, pretending to be clueless.
      "Like you can't have a boyfriend" Diamond exclaimed
      "Every nigga is the same" I snapped "all wanting one thing"
  "How do you know that" He asked. I gave him a stank look.
   "Do we have to go through the all the guys who tried talking to me again" I replied
  "Maybe if you got some dick you wouldn't have so much attitude" Diamond mumbled.
    "Oh shut up Diamond" Jade exclaimed "Adri I'm sure you would love being in a relationship, just let your guard down" I laughed.
   "I will never let my guard down for some sorry ass nigga who only wants to get in my pants" I said
   "Not for guys" Jade corrected "In general, you need to learn to have fun"
   " I see the fun you two be having" I said "and I'm good off that" 
  I saw Deon sit next to Jade and kiss her.
   "Where's your new little friend" I asked Deon with sass.
   "He had to get his ID" Deon answered " Besides, why do you care anyways"
     "Cause she wants him" Diamond teased
"No, I don't" I barked
I don't need no guy distracting me. I have has straight A's since fifth grade and nothing is stopping it. Plus, I don't need one either. I could Travis was trouble when I saw him. His light eyes and strong bone structure. Any girl would drop her panties for him. But I'm sure as hell wont be one of them.
