Fumble

Part of Me

   We were finally back in school after our long winter break. But I wouldn't complain about any of it. We were at lunch. I saw Travis giving Diamond a evil look. I took his hand.
    " Baby, please don't" I mumbled " do you want anything from the vending machine"
    " Just a cranberry juice" he answered. I got from the table and went to the vending machine. I looked back at Travis chatting with Diamond, but the evil look was gone. Oh Thank God. I put a dollar in the machine and got a apple juice. I was waiting for Travis's juice when U heard people screaming and chanting. I turned around to see it was at my table.  
    " Oh no" I mumbled. I walked over to the table. I tried to get through the crowd of people.
    " Move" I yelled, pushing people. I finally got through the crowd . I saw Travis pounding on Diamond's face. I went over to him. I tried pulling him off.
    " Travis, Travis" I yelled. He got up and walked out the lunch room. I didn't know if I should chase after Travis or help Diamond.
   " Go talk to Travis" Jade said " I got Diamond". I nodded and ran out the lunch room. I saw Travis walking down the hall.
   " Travis" I yelled. He kept walking. I ran over to him and pushed him into the nearest wall.
    " What the fuck happened" I snapped
   " Don't be putting your hands on me like that" he snapped back
   " Why were you pounding his face in" I spat
   " I thought I could talk to him" he explained " I told him I knew what you asked him and I was okay with it, but I just wanted to know why and he started tripping in me asking why I care and that I was just jealous  that he probably could ride you better"
   " Travis, that's childish" I stated
   " Childish" he exclaimed " so everything I do is childish now"
   " No, beating Diamond up was childish" I corrected
   " But he was so serious about it, he said it like I meant nothing to you" Travis replied
   " Now why would he do that" I asked
   " So you don't believe me" he said
   " Well I wouldn't believe that would beating someone's ass for a childish statement, but I guess I'm wrong"  I answered
   " Adri, why would I lie to you" he asked. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.
   " Oh, okay I see. Just when I thought you were different." he snapped " how bout you get your friend in check then before you approach me again". He nudged me out the way. I scoffed.
  " So you are going to give up on us, just like that" I yelled. He stopped and turned around.
   " I didn't, you did" he said " when you made it clear as day you still think I'm a fuckboy . I love you with all my heart, but if you don't trust me why are we even together" . I felt my heart crack.
    " I knew you weren't no good" I croaked
   " And I knew you wouldn't trust me like you said you did" he croaked " but people make mistakes everyday". He walked away and as he left, I felt a part of me go with him.
