Travis P.O.V
I was setting up the table for dinner.
" So I finally get to meet this mysterious girl" My mom joked.
" She's just a friend mom" I said.
" That you have been spending much time with" she added " it seems like you're growing kind of fond of her". I couldn't lie, I have grown fond of her. She is everything I ever wanted, I ever needed. Everything about her is perfect, incredible. Especially the sex, I have never felt that spark with other girls before. Fuck, I think I'm sprung. But I don't want to break the deal we made. No catching feelings, no strings attached.
I heard a knock on the door. I went to go answer it. It was Adrianna, she had on a poka dotted summer dress, with her bang braided back.
" Hi" she said, her green eyes glistening. I felt my heart melt.
"Hey" I replied. She walked in and gave me a hug.
" Is your dad here yet" she whispered to me. I shook my head.
" No, not yet" I whispered back. We walked into the kitchen.
" Mom, this is Adrianna" I said.
" Wow, you are gorgeous" My mom replied. Adrianna chuckled.
" Thank you, Ms. Wright" Adrianna said.
" Oh, just call me Mariah" my mom replied. We sat down at the table. We chatted until we heard a knock. I felt my heart drop.
" I'll go get the door" my mom said, getting up. I was so nervous, I don't know how I'm going to react when he walks in here. Adrianna took my hand. I looked over at her.
" It's okay" she mouthed to me. I smiled and kissed her cheek. She blushed and I laughed. My mom walked in with my dad on her arm.
" Hi, Travis" My dad said. I was freaking out in my head. Nervous, scared, angry, frustrated.
" Hi" I mumbled. Adrianna squeezed my hand tighter.
" And who's this beautiful young lady" my dad asked.
" Adrianna" she answered.
" Very nice to meet you" he said, shaking her free hand. We all sat at the table. It was quiet at first. Adrianna still held my hand as we ate.
" So what are you planning to do after you graduate" my dad asked. Already, I was irritated.
" Going to college to play football" I answered.
" That's it" he asked
" Yeah, pretty much" I answered bluntly.
" Travis" he started " there's so much more to life than sports"
" You don't even know me" I mumbled.
" I know of you" he corrected. I laughed.
" Sure you do" I said.
" What is that suppose to mean" He snapped. I was about to snap back, but I guess Adrianna felt my frustration.
" So, what do you do for a living Mr. Ross" Adrianna asked.
" I'm a doctor" he answered " you know, a real career". That's when I lost it.
" I don't know why you think you have room to judge someone" I snapped
" Excuse me" he snapped back.
" You walk in here, thinking you are just so perfect, forgetting that you left me and my mother out in the cold" I barked. " Hey maybe you would know a thing or two before you go around judging people"
" I do know a thing or two, more than a thing or two" he barked back.
" If you did, you wouldn't have left us" I said.
" I left to get a better life alright" he yelled.
" And it took you 14 years to do so" I yelled back. " Seems like a lot of fucking time to get your life together "
" Hey, watch your mouth" He screamed
" I don't have to do shit, you say, last time I checked you are the guest here" I snapped. " how could you sleep with a girl and think it's okay to just leave her"
" Oh, please don't act like you and this hoe ain't sleeping around" he snapped back. I felt my blood boil. I snatched my hand from Adrianna's and stood up.
" Don't you dare call her that" I yelled. You know what, I'm fucking done. I knew this was a bad idea. I walked outside. I tried catching my breath. Who the hell do he think he is? Judging me and shit like he has been in my life. Acting like he has the room to talk to me like that. That ignorant, selfish prick. I saw Adrianna come outside. She was trying to talk to me, but she was muted out by her own thoughts. Then she stared at me with those eyes, soon I became distracted. I wanted to kiss her. I grabbed her face and did so.
" Can we go somewhere" I asked " I don't care where, I just want to be alone with you". She smiled and nodded.
" I think I know a place" she replied.Damn, what a dinner. Do you think Travis's dad shouldn't have judged him? Why did his mom invite him? Where is Adrianna taking him? Vote, comment and share!
