I didn't speak to Diamond the rest of the night. Or the whole day either. Instead of sitting with us he sat with Jordan at lunch. I wanted to talk to Travis, but I didn't know how. I couldn't find the words nor the courage too.
I was sitting in class thinking of ways to apologize to Travis. I looked up from my blank paper and saw Diamond sitting in front of me.
" Hi" he said. I gave a quick smile.
" Hey" I replied bluntly.
" I miss you" Diamond blurted out " I miss your attitude, your smile, how you put me in check when I'm being dumb". He sighed and put his head down.
" I miss my best friend" He mumbled " I know I was wrong and I should of told you from the start, please forgive me". I smiled and pretended not to care.
" Right" I said, with attitude.
" Oh come on, Adrianna" he begged " we live with each other, you can't ignore me forever". I shrugged my shoulders.
" I can try" I replied. I couldn't hold in my laugh anymore. I busted out laughing. He clicked his tongue and slapped my arm. He came over and sat next to me. He started to squeeze the life out of me.
" Diamond let me go" I whined
" Do you love me" I asked
" Yes" I exclaimed
" Say it back" he said
" I love you" I replied. He let me go.
" I promise I won't keep anything from you anymore" he said
" Do so and I will hurt you" I warned
" Yeah, yeah" he mocked. I punched his arm.
" Girl, don't play" Diamond exclaimed " you are lucky we are in school". Class soon ended and we left. We walked through the crowded hallway and I saw Travis. My hear fluttered.
" Go talk to him" Diamond said. I shook my head.
" He doesn't look like he wants to talk" I replied. He gave me and glance then quickly looked away. I sighed.
" See what I mean" I replied. We kept walking. I saw Travis walk past me in the corner of my eyes. Then I felt a grab of my wrist. I turned around to see it was Travis. He gave me a smile, I did the same.
" What are you doing after school" Travis asked
" Nothing, most likely" I answered.
" Come to my place, I have something to show you" he said. He slid his hand into mine. He leaned and kissed my cheek. My cheeks grew warm and butterflies filled my stomach. He let go and walked away. I looked at Diamond.
" Look who got her man back" Diamond teased
" Shut up" I chuckled
