The Guard is Down

Jo P.O.V.
I knock on Alex's door.
Stupid, stupid, stupid. You are so stupid, Jo. Why are you doing this. You are so dumb.
Alex opens the door.
"Hi" I say then I barge in.
"Hey" he said confused.
"Look, Alex, I've told you I love you more times in the past month then I have in our whole relationship. And I'm hear to say it again. Look I'm sure Izzie is amazing and you were in love with her. And you were ready to have a life with her. But she didn't want one with you. She hurt you. But I want a life with you. I want to have kids. I want to get married with you. I want to live with you until were so old we can't move with out our kids helping us up. And whenever I hurt you, it hurts me. And I never let my guard down. But my guard is down for you. So you can walk in or you can burn the bridge and leave me damaged forever." I said with tears in my eyes.
"You know what I said to Cristina when we first started dating."
"No."
"I said that you weren't a nobody. And you still aren't a nobody. You will never be a nobody. But-"
"No. No, Alex, no. No buts. I love you and you love me. So, no buts."
I go and pull him in for a kiss.
And we stay kissing for about, well, what seems like forever
"Look I will divorce him. But we need to be brave about this. He is going to hurt you. He is going to hurt me. But you can't do anything. Ok. Please don't hit back. Just take it." I say as our foreheads press together.
"Jo he can punch the living crap out of me but if he lays a pinkie on you, you can't not expect me to hit him back."
"Alex, I know how you are. DeLuca tripped on me and you gave him stitches. But this guy is not DeLuca. He will punch, punch, and punch more. But please don't make this worse than it is."
