Don't Walk Out

Alex P.O.V.
"Jo, what are you doing here?" I asked
"Learning peds." She replied.
"Why? You learned pretty much everything there is to know in your intern year." I said while laughing
"Callie is driving me insane over in Ortho. She wants me to amputate a leg and I don't have the will to do it."
"Yes, you do. Now go." I say as kiss the top of her head and then shoo her off.
"You really lucked out on her, you know." Arizona said
"Where did you come from?"
"The shadows. Now tell me when the wedding is."
"I don't know we haven't discussed anything yet."
Arizona's jaw drops and she makes those evil-squinty eyes at me.
"You've been engaged for three months." she said as she was obviously judging me.
"Look every time I love/marry a girl things start to go downhill. Can you blame me for being a but reserved."
"Ava was already insane without you. Izzie didn't love you. It was a cancer marriage, or so you say."
"I'm just waiting for the bad to come."
"Whatever." She said as se rolled her eyes.

Jo P.O.V
"Steph, its been three months and I don't even know what flavor of cake we are having. I'm starting to think he doesn't want to marry me..." I say
"Shut up! He asked you to marry him two times. I'm pretty sure he wants to marry you."
"Yeah but now that we actually are getting married I think he is second-guessing me as a wife or something. I am so far from wife-material I'm surprised I even had him as a serious boyfriend!"
"Dude chill. Does he look like husband-material to you? You guys are the weird, unconventional couple that works amazingly. It boggles the mind of great doctors."
"Ok, ok, ok. I'm gonna talk to him."

(in O.R. 2 with Arizona and Alex operating.)

I scrub in and walk up beside Alex.
"What are we doing here?" I aaid
"An eppy. Why aren't you chopping off some dudes arm with Callie?" He said
"It was a foot and I did it an hour ago."
"Ok why are you here. I'm sure there are bones for you to reset somewhere."
"Callie went home with Sofia after the amputation and I've got a couple more hours in my shift."
"Ok. Can you get me some suction."
I pass the suction over to him.
"Look, Alex, are you sure you want to marry me? We haven't talked about anything for the wedding at all and if you don't want to anymore thats ok..."
"Oh shut up, Jo! Of course I want to marry you."
He leans over and pecks me on the cheek.
"Ok then why aren't you excited?"
"I am."
"Then why don't you want to talk about the wedding?"
"That is none of your business."
"I think it should be, I am the one you are marrying and all that."
"Ok, Jo! Fine. Every girl I marry or consider marrying get cancer or become crazy and slit there wrist while I'm on the phone! And yeah I'm bit reserved about you because I am the bringer if bad news to women so just shut up and stay out of my damn business!"
"From what I've heard I am nothing like Izzie. And I've never heard of this insane ex of yours!"
"Sorry if I don't want to talk about my ex bleeding out with a steak knife!"
"EVERYONE SHUT UP AND KEEP YOUR PERSONAL LIFE OUT OF THE O.R. THE PATIENT IS LOSING BP! C'MON." Arizona shouts.
We take out the enflamed appendix and close the incision.
I walk out to scrub out and Alex walks in after me.
"Alex, I'm not going insane and I have never had cancer in my life. I am tough I can take care of myself if you are worried about me getting sick you can forget about it."
"Thats what you think."
He angrily walks out.
