"J-Jeff." You gulped.
Jeff looked at you.
Miles turned around and gave Jeff a glare, barking a few times.
"Shut up mutt." He growled.
Miles went quiet.
You heard Jack getting up from the couch.
Jeff looked and Jack, the look in his eyes slowly darkened.
You were worried for Jack, but then you remembered you had his knife so he couldn't do that much.
"Jeffrey, I've already told you, I'm not going to hurt her!" Jack pleaded.
"I've seen your tricks, I know what you're going to do." Jeff hissed.
Jeff grabbed a pocket knife from his back pocket and began to walk towards Jack.
"Jeffrey..." Jack sighed as he began to back away.
You couldn't let Jeff hurt Jack.
Jeff wouldn't listen to you before, but he was your brother, so you knew there was one thing left you could try.
You ran up to Jeff...
And hugged him.
You wrapped your arms around his torso and kept your head in his chest, and you didn't dare let go.
Jeff stiffened, and you saw his pocket knife fall to the floor out of the corner of your eye.
"(Y-Y/n)!? G-Get off of me!" You could tell he was trying to scare you.
"No! I won't let you hurt Jack!" You refused.
Jeff tried to pry you off of him, but there was no way in heck you were gonna let go.
"(Y/n), let go of me!" You knew he was struggling to keep it together.
You continued to resist.
Jeff started to pant and wheeze as he continued to fight your grip.
You could feel Jeff's heart beating rapidly, why was he so panicked?
Well, whatever the reason, you had to calm him down.
You shushed Jeff as if he were a child, putting a hand on his pale face.
Jeff looked a bit confused at first, but he gradually began to ease into your touch, and his breathing slowly relaxed into small noises every now and then, like a small grunt.
"It's okay." You gave him a soft look.
Jeff glanced at Jack for a moment, only to see that he had vanished.
He sighed through clenched teeth.
"Please... brother?"
Jeff immediately looked back at you in shock.
"W...What?" He whispered.
Miles perked his grey ears and his big blue eyes widened in surprise.
But after a few seconds, he turned and ran back down the hall, where a shadow was motioning for him to leave the room.
"You're my brother... right?" You tilted your head with a small smile.
Jeff's unblinking eyes teared up, and with no eyelids to hold them they easily slid down his face.
You smiled and wrapped your arms around his neck, hugging him once more.
This time, Jeff didn't resist, instead, he almost instantly returned it as he began to cry.
"S-S..Sis..." He whimpered.
"It's okay brother, I'm here now.." You whispered to him softly.
Once Jeff calmed down a bit more, you and him sat down on the couch.
You put a hand on his pale face.
"Feeling better?" You winked.
Jeff sniffled and gave a small smile of his own.
"Y-Yes.."
He grasped your hand in his own, holding it tightly.
"I... I'm s-sorry, sister... I-I n-never meant to..." He paused, a guilty look painting his features.
You put a finger on his chapped lips.
"It's okay."
He removed your finger and shook his head.
"N-N-No, No No, i-it's not. I almost hurt you, more than once even. All because I was so focused on getting rid of that clown."
"Why did you want to hurt him anyway?"
Jeff sighed.
"I've known him for a long time, about a year or two after I became what I am today I think. I've seen the way he betrays his victims, the way he makes them think he's their friend, but he truly isn't. How he messed with their minds so they'd believe they had nothing to worry about when in the end, he trapped them and tortured them to death. I thought that was what he's going to do to you, but... I'm not so sure anymore after all the times he told me he wasn't and seemed so serious about it, but I still have my doubts make no mistake."
You thought to yourself for a moment.
Could Jack really be tricking you?
He is a killer after all, but then again you have a killer for a brother.
You'd have to have another talk with him later.
Jeff took both of your hands in his and held them tightly.
"Sister, please, don't let him deceive you... I already lost our brother, I don't want to lose the only family I have left.."
Jeff was practically begging you.
Could it really be possible Jack is going to hurt you?
You were beginning to have doubts, but then you remembered something Jack had told you only minutes ago.
"You are my best friend, and you always will be." Jack's voice echoed in your mind.
You smiled.
"I trust him Jeff, I know he's my friend."
Jeff sighed through his nose.
"I hope so, but mark my words, the moment that clown does something to harm you I'll slice his nose off and cram it down his throat." Jeff said with a serious voice.
You snorted.
"You're definitely my brother." You laughed.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Oh nothing.." You sighed as you leaned your head on your long lost brother's shoulder.
