From that moment on you were to never leave the house, and whenever you told Jane you needed something from the outside she went out to get it for you, just as she said she would.
A few days went by after she came to your house but to you they felt like years, things weren't exactly comfortable. You were always fearing that Jeff might come to your house to see if you were alright, and then you definitely wouldn't be.
You couldn't help but wonder if Jack would come back, then again, he might still be upset about what you said to him. You also thought about Will, maybe he was busy with something and didn't have time for stopping by.
So now here you were sitting on the couch in your house, wondering what was going to happen next in your life. So many crazy and once in a lifetime events had happened, you were starting to think this would actually be regular thing.
Jane was out getting takeout for your dinner and you were stuck having to wait. No one to talk to except for Miles. The only one that was really by your side through all this craziness. He was the closest to normal thing that you had at this point, despite the fact that he has powers no other dog nor person ever had.
You suddenly heard your phone ringing.
You took it out of your jeans pocket and looked at the number, you gasped.
It was your parents.
"I didn't think they'd ever call." You thought.
You answered the phone and put it to your ear.
"(Y/n)! How's my precious little girl doing?" Your mother's voice spoke from the phone.
"Uh, I'm just fine mom." You chuckled slightly embarrassed.
"Oh good! I'm so sorry we didn't call sooner, things have been so hectic since we left we could hardly focus on more than one thing!" She sounded pretty frazzled.
"It's okay mom." You smiled with a small laugh.
She sighed.
"I'm just glad you're not upset or anything, this was on very short notice, so we had to leave as soon as we could." She sounded guilty now.
"It's fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"You're completely sure?"
"Yes!" You laughed.
"Things have been great, I miss you guys, but things are good here."
"Oh! By the way, how was your trip to England?"
Your mind went blank and your smile faded.
"It... it was fun." You managed to say, it sounded faked to even you, but your mom was thankfully oblivious.
"Great! How are Alex and Henry?"
You felt your heart sink at their names.
"They're doing just fine." You lied. You hated that you had to lie, but there was no other options, you couldn't just come out and say that Henry died when you were little and Alex disappeared to who-knows-where.
"Wonderful." She said happily.
"How's dad?" You asked.
"He's doing good, I can put him on the phone if you want?" She offered.
"That'd be nice, thanks mom." Your smile faintly returned.
"(Father's name)! (Y/n) wants to talk to you!" You could hear your mother call.
