The next day was pretty slow, nothing really exciting happened for once, which was odd. You had gotten pretty used to the excitement and crazy events, so it felt strange to have nothing much happening. Oh well, at least Will decided to stay over again.

At the moment, you were lying down on your bed staring up at the ceiling, daydreaming the time away. You couldn't help but wonder what Jack was up to, he seemed to be a pretty repetitive subject in your head nowadays, you weren't sure why, but you didn't mind it.

You decided despite the cold weather that you'd go out for a walk. You got up and grabbed your (f/c) hoodie, then put your phone and wallet in your pockets.

You left the room and looked over the banister to see Will and Miles still snoozing away, making you smile. You quietly stepped down the stairs and walked over to Miles, gently petting his head so he'd wake up, and you whispered in his ear.

"I'm gonna go out for a walk, I'll be back in a little bit."

He gave a soft 'ruff' and licked your cheek before going back to sleep.

With that, you gave him a kiss on his furry forehead and went to the door.

You put on your sneakers and left the house, taking a look around as you went out. A majority of the trees' leaves became red, orange, and yellow, and some were falling from the trees creating leaf piles.

You walked along the sidewalk quietly, feeling the wind gently blow against your skin. It was surprisingly warm today, which was a relief. You occasionally watched as birds flew overhead in the light blue sky, some in flocks, others just flying solo.

"It's been awhile since I've actually been on my own." You thought.

After a few minutes, you noticed someone else walking on the sidewalk headed your way. He was a man that looked to be in his early 40's, he wore a brown coat with dark grey pants that looked pretty dirty upon closer inspection. His face had a stern expression with his gaze fixed on the ground, just looking at him gave you an uneasy feeling.

Eventually you crossed paths and you were sure you saw his dark brown eyes glance at you as he walked past, giving a small 'hmph'.

You sighed a little in relief once he was out of hearing range.

"I hope I don't run into that guy again." You gulped.

Eventually you ended up back at the park after a bit, the one place that never went unnoticed no matter how much you wished it would.

You looked around to make sure there wasn't any officers nearby, then went up the hill, sneaking over to the woods and letting your mind wander as you walked.

Your mind's subject of thought changed to Jeff.

"Where could he be? It's been a really long time..." You thought.

You could only ponder the possibilities of what may have happened to him that night. Could he have gotten hurt? Did Jane make him retreat and followed after him? Was it the other way around? Where did Jane disappear to?

The last one gave you a brief chill.

Now that you thought about it, what did happen to Jane?

You were snapped out of your thoughts by nearly walking right into a tree. You shook your head with a bit of an embarrassed laugh and continued on your way.

"I'm probably overthinking all this, I mean, what's the worst that could've happened?"

Soon enough you found yourself at the middle, the large hill exactly how it always was. You shrugged a little, thinking it wouldn't be any trouble to sit around for a bit, and made your way up.
