Chapter 9

El's POV

"Louis?"

"What are you doing here?" He tilted his head to the left a little. His clothes were drenched from the rain early.

"I umm... I was just getting my stuff that I forgot." I said looking away from his bright blue eyes.

"Oh." He Looked down then back up. "Do you want to stay? I can make some tea and we can talk if you wan to?"

I could see an imaginary tail wagging behind him, for excitement. That or his real tail.

"Louis I cant stay. I'm sorry"

 I pushed my way out of the door frame. Climbed into my car and drove off.

The ride home all I could think about was him. The time we've shared over the years.

I still love him, but I don't think we share that anymore. He changed his personality, so much after I found out he was a hybrid, part dog.

It was close to Christmas Eve. I wanted to take him out to dinner for his birthday because I knew he would be with his family that day. I sneaked into his house when he wasn't home. Turned put he was and he was in the kitchen cooking.

I saw a brown pointed objects on his head, ears maybe? I also saw a brown tail hanging from the bottom of his spine. I walked up to touch his tail, to see if it was real, and it was. Louis jumped at my action and turned around.

"Eleanor what are you doing here?" He asked.

"I was going to surprise you when you got home. I was going to take you out for your birthday." I responded

The ears on his head hid in his hair, and his tail went between his legs.

"Are you a hybrid?" I asked curiosity getting to me.

."Yes, but don't tell anyone. Please if you do, they'll take me away forever."

"I won't, but is your parents hybrids?"

"My dad-" My memory was cut off by bright headlights beaming at me.

I was on the wrong side of the road. I quickly got back in my own lane. I need to stop thinking like tht when I'm driving. That's probably like the sixth time I've done that.

Liam's POV

In the morning I continued to think about what Niall said to me "I bet you will fall for one of them within the next two months."  I honestly do not know if I would, but Riley she's very pretty. They're both pretty don't get me wrong on that, but Riley, wow, she's outstanding.

They were still asleep. Must have been from all that shopping. Shop till you drop! Right? Right.

I heard the front door open. Niall was still asleep on the the couch and if it was Eleanor she does not have a key.

"Liam! It's Eleanor! You left your door unlocked again." Eleanor said.

I have a bad habit of forgetting to lock the door sometimes. I got up from the kitchen table and met El at the door.

"Liam James, you know it's dangerous to leave the door unlocked." She basically yelled at me, like my own mother would.

"I know." I hung my head. "I didn't mean too."

"It's okay Liam, but probably after you get home from Uni. I could show you those paper that you wanted."

"Alright well, the girls and their monster are still asleep."

El giggled. It's been awhile since I've heard her laugh or giggle. Ever since she broke up with her boyfriend, that i have never really met before, after several years of being together.
