Louis' POV
That flat tune and hum is one thing I didn’t not want to hear. She couldn’t die, she had to live. Tears sprang to my eyes. I haven't cried since El and I broke up.
"Green do something!" I yelled through my tears.
"I’m trying Tomlinson, you don't think I am?" Green was going back and forth from the table and the bed. Grabbing tools after tools.
"Please hurry."
"Shut it. Wendy get him out of the room so I can work a bit better." The red head women, who seemed to be Wendy, nodded.
"No no no. You said that I could sit here beside her."
"I changed my mind." Wendy grabbed me out of the chair and took me outside of the room. I looked through the door window and by that time Green put a curtain around Alice. Hiding what he was doing to her.
"Is she going to be alright?" I asked Wendy.
"I want to say yes but I really don’t know Louis. Green was really expecting her to be like this. He’s been trying for 18 years for her to get better"
"Well he didn’t try hard enough." I leaned my back against the wall and slide down. I kept thinking what would happen if I told Liam, Niall and cat what happened to Alice.
Wait she's a Disney freak. I tried thinking of Disney movie that the girls watched. Ariel? No. Cinderella? No. Snow White and Sleeping Beauty? Yes. At the end the princes kissed the princesses to bring them back. True loves kiss but like that’s going to work in real life.
"True loves kiss might work." I mumble
"What?" Wendy asks.
"She’s a Disney girl. True loves kiss might work on her, to bring her back."
"If you think you’re her true love. I’ll let inside the door if you think it’ll work." She opened the door. I stood up and walked through the door. I had clue what I was doing. I would never do anything like this.
Green was sitting in a chair. No sounds of beeping and hums of the machines. The curtain still surrounded Alice. I walked towards the curtain, pulling it open. Alice laid there, pale, motionless.
"Tomlinson what are you doing?" Green asked ignored him. I ran my hand through her hair, cupped her cheek. I leaned down to kiss her cold lips.
"Really you thought that was going to work?"
"It was worth a shot, wasn’t it?"
The room was silent; I stayed by Alice’s side. I held her hand, it was cold but it started to feel warm. Her hand moved under my touch.
"Dog?" She croaked out.
"Green! She’s up!" I yelled.
"Tomlinson I’m right here, don’t yell." Harsh. He turned the machines back on. "Her heart rate is normal and when I mean normal it’s a regular heart rate."
"Alice better?" She asked
"Yes Alice you're better. That is a good thing." Green told her. "Now stay healthy, don’t eat too much sugary stuff and if you ever have chest pains tell someone okay." He was nice all of a sudden.
"Alice knows, tell Alice all the time." I help her sit up.
"Alright let’s get you home." Green took the needles out and wires off of her. She hopped off the bed.
"Louis." Wendy said. I turned to look at her. "If anything ever happens to her, bring her here okay. Tell your friends that they don’t have to move. Green just wanted Alice so he can cure her."
"Alright.” Alice and I walked out of building. I helped her into the car, then getting in on my side. I drove the speed limit back to Liam’s, surprisingly I did. She jumped out of the car when we reached the flat. I quickly got out.
"Alice don’t run okay."
"Sorry." She stopped in her tracks. I caught up with her and wrapped an arm around her, guiding her to the door. "No Louis.” I unwrapped my arm.
Niall's POV
It’s been an hour since Louis left with Alice. Liam was still on the couch sleeping, coughing once in a while. That still told me he was alive. A car pulled up to the flat, I knew it had to be Louis. I walked to the door and opened it. Alice hugged me; she went over to Riley and hugged her also. She sat on the window seat.
"Niall I would get her something to eat." Louis said walking into the flat.
"I will, but you’re going to explain to me what happened at that lab." I walked into the kitchen, having him follow me.
"Talk." I say while looking something Alice could eat.
"Alright when I took her to Green he hooked her up to the device he bought with the money I gave him. At first it was working fine. Her heart rate was normal then she started to pale, paler than Payner."
"Are you trying to tell she died?" I asked waving a piece of bread at him. He nodded. "Continue I want to hear how she came back to life." I turned back to back the sandwich.
"Well first I was dragged out of the room by a woman named Wendy. Green pulled a curtain around Alice so I couldn’t see him work. I just slide against a wall for a bit, thinking.”
“I didn’t know you could think.” He glared at me. “Sorry continue.”
“Wendy let me back into the room because I had a plan. Green was sitting in a chair when I went in there, I pulled back the curtain, and I kissed Alice. I thought it would cause she a Disney freak yeah?” I nodded. “Well I think it would but yet it didn’t. I think Green did something before I went in there.”
“I take it she came back?”
“No she’s just a ghost that only we can see her.”
“Shut it sassy pants.” I picked the plate up and walked towards the window. I tapped her shoulder; she turned to look at me. I smiled, handed her plate she smiled back.
When she left with Louis, Riley told me the reason why Green was helping Alice. Green was her father. I thought it was weird but I realized Alice was his daughter he didn’t want her to die. That still didn’t explain why he was so cruel to them.
“Dog?” Riley asked Louis
“Yes cat?” He replied.
“Do you like Ali?”
“Do you mean like her as in a friend or like her as in Niall and Eleanor.” He winced when he said the names. It must hurt him knowing his ex-girlfriend already has a new boyfriend. Well sucks to suck.
“Yes like Niall and Eleanor. Do you like her like that?”
“Umm…” That right there ladies and gentlemen the badass Tomlinson had blushed. He had a little crush on her. “Umm…”
“You do. Don’t lie.” I told him
“Alright maybay a little.”
