"What?" Riley asked, getting off of Louis and staring at Alice, her arms crossed. Alice took a deep breath, before looking at Louis.

"I-I like Louis." Riley looked at me and I simply shrugged and shook my head. I didn't know what to tell her. I mean, I kind of expected this to happen, but I didn't expect Riley to he this angry and upset about it.

"But he is a dog." Riley said, pointing at Louis. Alice helped him off the floor, as he wiped his face on his sleeve, making sure he wasn't bleeding - which he wasn't.

"I do not care what he is. I like him." Alice replied, stepping closer towards Louis.

"Riley, maybe she actually does like him." I said to her, only to have her glare at me. I looked down at the ground, before looking at Alice and Louis.

"I think I'll just leave." Louis said awkwardly, giving Alice a small smile, and walking towards the front door. Alice watched him leave, a frown on her face. Once he was gone, Alice looked at Riley and bit her lower lip, obviously trying to fight back tears.

"He left." She said quietly.

"Good. He is a dog, I do not like him."

"But I do!" Alice yelled, her voice shaking the entire house. Riley looked her with wide eyes, taken back by her sudden out burst. I looked back and forth between the two sisters, before heading upstairs to the room I was given for the time being.

"Do not yell at me." I said, walking closer towards Alice. "Dogs and cats do not mix and I have told you that."

"But you have Liam! I have no one."

"Do not bring him into this!" I hissed, almost face to face with her. To say I was disappointed in Alice was an understatement. She knew not to get mixed up with him and she disobeyed. Now she's bringing Liam into this? I won't tolerate it.

"Louis is my something great."

"Alice!"

"Why can't you accept that I like him!?"

That's when I lost my temper. My hand connected with her cheek really hard, causing a loud noise to fill the room. She cupped her cheek, as tears began to roll down her face hard. Niall must've heard it, because he ran down the stairs as into the living room. He stared at us with wide eyes, trying to find the words to say.

"Promised not to hurt Alice ever." She whimpered.

"Ali, I am sorry. I didn't mean to!" Before I knew it, she ran out the front door. I looked at Niall and took an uneven breath, knowing that I would never be able to forgive myself.

"They what?!" Green hollered, slamming his fist down onto the desk.

"They escaped." I repeated cautiously, trying not to make eye contact with him.

"How could you let this happen?! Do you know how much money I had riding on them?!"

"No sir."

"More than you'll ever see in your lifetime!" He yelled, his voice booming loudly throughout the room. I flinched, knowing that he was on his last rope. "I thought you and Preston had them under tight surveillance?!"

"We did, sir. We watched them twenty-four-seven."

"Then how could you let them escape?!" He said, slamming his fist against the desk again.

"Someone must've disabled the system, sir." I replied.

"Disabled the system?! They blew up the damn place! I asked you and Preston to do one simple task and you f***ed it up!"

"I apologize sir. But I can assure you that Preston and I will get them back." I said, before he broke out in laughter. I looked at him very confused, trying to figure out why he went through a sudden mood swing.

"Oh no. You two are clearly not capable for this one simple task. I've given the job to Perrie and Murs."

"But sir-"

"My decision is final, Higgins! Now leave! Before I lose my temper and kill you!" If I didn't just witness him lose his temper, than what the hell was that? I sighed, before leaving the room. As I turned the corner, I heard a feminine laugh from behind me.

I turned around, only to see Perrie with her arms crossed. She had her blonde hair up in a messy bun and a leather jacket tightly around her torso.

"What do you want Edwards?"

"Just wanted to thank you for screwing up. I'm finally getting the recognition I deserve." She laughed again and walked away, causing me roll my eyes at her.

Why did Green trust her so much? Why didn't he choose Leigh-Anne, or Jade, or Jesy? I trust them more than I trust Perrie.

Once I found Preston and told him what was going on, he flipped out and left. I followed, knowing he was heading to the pub down the street.

I could use a drink or ten.
