Next week was Homecoming and I haven't even began searching for a dress or mask. I've been too busy with the killings.
I woke up today to see I gotten a message. It was from the Slayer Society.
"Dear Slayer,
5 people were killed in less than a week in your town. It wasn't an animal attack. You need to find the monster and kill it. We believe it will kill more if it lives longer.
Good luck, Slayer."A vampire...in my town. How couldn't I notice the killings increased? Sighing, I got dressed for another day of school. The vampire could literally be anywhere. I'll have to keep my eyes open. I thought as I brushed my hair.
I hurried downstairs after brushing my teeth. I seen my mom making coffee. "I'll be going out tonight mom" I told my mom and grabbed an apple for breakfast. "Where are you going?" My mom asked. "I'm just going to the cemetery." It was true, but it was also a lie. "I know how you feel, hun." She hugged me and I hugged her back. My dad's there or at least that's his grave. I still miss him. "Mom..." "I can't breathe" She said sorry and turned back to her coffee.
I went out the door, telling my mom bye on the way out. I looked over to see Kyle walking out as well. I glared at him and walked to my destination. Kyle followed me from behind. I walked faster hoping to get there and to get away from him.

The bell ranged and everyone rushed in. It was first period, as usual.
"Class, we have a new student." Another?! It's bad enough we already have one, but two?! "Be nice to him as you had been to Kyle." With that a guy walked it around Kyle's height. He wasn't as tan as Kyle though. His hair was black and eye's blue. He was kind of buff but not too much. "I'm Alexander Cherish and from England. You can call me Alex." He smirked and the girl's got all hormonal. I looked over at Kyle to see his jaw clenched. I raised my eyebrow confused. What's up with him? "You can sit in the back by Kyle, Alex." The girl that use to sit by Kyle moved away. I'm not sure why and didn't care.
Alex looked at Kyle, they both sized each other up. Boys. I thought rolling my eyes. Always a dominant thing. Alex then sat by Kyle. "Okay class. Write an essay on your favorite place to go or somewhere you'd like to go." We all sighed and began writing.
