Slaying. I couldn't just keep skipping it every night. So that's what I'll do this weekend.
Getting out of my bed and getting ready for the day, I frowned. I couldn't stop thinking about what happened yesterday. It was odd how you can just hate someone with just looking at someone. You have to at least have some kind of evidence or something.
I shook my head and looked out my window towards Kyle's room. He was just laying on his bed. He's probably still sleeping. What am I thinking? I should be heading out already!
I ran downstairs and left. I'll get something to eat later. Even though vampires are mostly out at night, some can come out during the day. I'm not sure how or why. The Society thinks it could be from a charm or a lot of sunscreen. Over the past vampires I killed I haven't seen anything similar, so it could be from a lot of sunscreen. Or there's something I missed. Gosh, this is turning into the Vampire Diaries or something!
I hurried to the urban part of the woods. A lot of people don't really come to this part since it's known for kidnappings and murders. Perfect. What vampire wouldn't come here?
Walking around was the easy part. The hard part was telling if the person was a vampire or a human. We're both so similar but also so very different. I'm not going to complain, I actually like this part besides slaying. It's like solving a mystery and hoping you're right in the end.
I snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a twig snap behind me. I quickly turned around and narrowed my eyes. Where are you? I turned back around and continued forward. I suppose I'll have to lure them out. We're supposed to refer to them as an "it" but they were once human. So when I'm not around other slayers I refer to them as well...them, he, or she.
Over to my right side of vision I seen someone run past me, but at a fast speed. If I wasn't a slayer then I'd think it was nothing, but I am a slayer. I took my stake out and stopped walking. I'll let them come to me.
A force pushed me over and I fell down with a weight on top of me. The vampire snarled and used her claws to scratch my face. I moved my head just in time. We kept rolling over to be on top. Neither of us was going to give up easily. She punched me in the stomach while I quickly grabbed her head and jammed my knee into her face. She stumbled back some while holding her nose. Blood came out then stopped as quickly as it came. That was the advantage of healing quickly. It was like cheating in a fight.
She lunged at me over and over. I already had enough. As she went to punch me once more, I flipped her over and stabbed her in the heart. Sure I like fighting, but the job needs to be done quickly. That's what I disliked about slaying. I'm a fighter. It's like bring an adrenaline junkie.
I dusted myself off and began heading back to get something to eat. I was starving and silently cursed at myself for not eating something before I came out here. I had to hurry back before anyone seen this blood on me. It would start suspension and not be good at all.

I came downstairs after a fresh shower and changing. My mom had breakfast out and a note beside it. I read it out loud since nobody was here.
"I'm going to work early. I'll see you later once I get back. Stay out of trouble.
-Mom"I shrugged and threw the note in the garbage. I didn't need it anymore anyways. I smiled, sat down, and began eating like a pig. What can I say? I was hungry.
I finished eating after awhile and put my plate in the sink. I guess I can just finish my homework then watch a movie.
I skipped upstairs to my room and got my bag out. Sitting on my bed with my bag, I took out my shit. English. It's not like I didn't like it, I loved it, but the work sucked. I don't even get why we have homework in the first place. People have lives to live. Oh well I guess. I'll just do it.
~A rather boring hour and a half later~
I was finally done. I had to write a ten page essay on Romeo and Juliet. Why them? Why is their story so famous? Juliet was like 14 while Romeo was like 17. That's disgusting! No offence.
I put my stuff away and put on my slayer outfit. My mom wouldn't know the difference since they were like normal clothes. The Society thought it was a good idea so it wouldn't cause a lot of suspicion from people. Also so people didn't look at you like you were some kind of freak or something.
I hurried downstairs to see my mom. She was at the kitchen eating a salad. I went to join her. If there's anything I learned from today, it's to never go out without eating something. The lesson was learned. Trust me.
I grabbed sat a crossed from my mom and began eating. "How was your day?" I asked. "It was great! There's a new doctor working there." I stopped eating and looked at my mom with a stern face. "Is it a guy? 'Cause if it is then do you like him?" I want my mom to be happy, but it came out kind of harsh. Like when you're in trouble and your parent starts interrogating you, but instead I was interrogating my mom. She looked at me and sat straighter. "I don't like him. He just started working today anyways." "Mom. If you like him then I'm giving you my permission to date. I want you to be happy again." My mom raised an eyebrow at me. "I don't need your permission to date. I'm an adult." I grinned as she didn't deny my advice. "Whatever you say, mom." She rolled her eyes and I quickly ate. It was about time the sun would be setting. "I'm going out. Don't have too much fun and use protection, byeee!" I skipped out of the house while my mom choked on her drink. She would be fine.
I headed back to the woods from earlier. I hope there's more vampires.
The sun was still out, but it was rather dim out. In a couple hours it would be dark. I ran forward trying to find any clues of a vampire. There was hardly any. The only thing different was the body of the vampire gone. That's about it.
I sighed as I came upon a pound. It was beautiful as the moon started coming out. I turned back around to go search in a different direction. As I stepped forward, I heard something. I felt something tighten around my foot. Then there was a sound in the trees. I looked down to see that it was a trap. I hurried to get it off, but it was too late. It lifted me up from my foot and I hit my head off the ground.
