Brooks point of view
^^^Brook and Bay (12)^^^
A few weeks later.....
Bay disappeared a few days ago. I've been looking for her, but I haven't found her anywhere. I hope she's alright. Now that I think about it, a lot of my friends started disappearing a couple of weeks ago. I wonder what's happening. Should I tell someone? No it's probably nothing. Bay has been probably staying at one of her friends house. That's all. Everything's fine.
"Sweetheart you should get to school. Don't want to miss the bus, now do we? You have that field trip to the zoo remember? Go on. I'll clean up this mess." Grandma Ariel said as she shooed me out of the house. I walked to the bus stop in silence since my sisters were already waiting for the bus. When the bus showed up, a few minutes like always, I walked to the middle of the bus in the first empty seat. I stared out the window as we stopped at other stops to get other children. I don't know how my family alone doesn't fill the bus completely. Must be because a lot of work and the younger ones stay home.
When we arrive at the school I toss my bag over my shoulder and walked inside to see the usual gossip girls. As I passed by they stopped talking. Once I passed them they continued while shooting me glares. If Bay was here she would've joined them and they wouldn't have glared at me since they worship the ground she walks on. Sometimes I wish I was Bay then I could be popular.
I walked into my first class, Science. Mrs. Babylon is one of my favorite teachers. I sit at the front of the classroom; where I always sit. Mrs. Babylon walks over as I do.
"So, are you excited to go to the zoo? I heard there's a new exhibit. Not sure what it is since no one has said anything. It has something to do with water though since they made that new aquarium just for it. Hopefully it doesn't mind being alone. Maybe their get more if it shows to be a big success. Then the poor creature won't be lonely." Mrs. Babylon is a lonely person. Only her cats keep her company when she's not at school. Her husband died of a boating accident, lost at sea. To be honest I think one of my relatives or friends from the mermaid world killed him. We never did like sailors.
Students slowly trickled into the room. Once the bell rang Mrs. Babylon would take attendance then we'd leave for the zoo. DING! Speaking of which. Mrs. Babylon straightens up as she turns to her desk. Attendance doesn't take long and soon we're out the door, on a bus to the zoo. Like usual I sit by myself.
Once at the entrance of the zoo, we pay our way through and start looking at the animals.
I had just watched the sea lion show. I was walking around the aquariums looking at all the fish, listing their names. Acei Cichlid, Rainbow fish, Benga Peacock, Pipefish, Gold Bard, Ruby Scat, Bay, Fusco, Demon Fish, wait. Bay? Bay. Bay! "Bay?" I watched as my sister swimming around in the aquarium in all her mermaid form. I didn't know what to do. I watched as people crowded my sister's cage. Watched as the took pictures and videos. What do I do? Bay noticed me and swam towards me with pleading eyes, hands on the glass. I took out my phone and started dialing grandma Ariel.
