^^^The Palace^^^

We had swam the whole night when we finally arrived at the palace. Me and my friends swam up to the giant palace with our magnificent fins. When we arrived at the front door the guards stopped us, asking what our business was here at the palace.

"We need to see the king on important business. Queen Ariel sent for us."

They started laughing. More than likely because it was queen Ariel sent for us. They last time she did that we went to war with other mermaids. When they had done nothing wrong. "Yeah. We remember last time that happened. The king said if she does need help again then you have to tell us the business first before we let you through to talk to the king."

"Her grandkids were taken. The humans took two of her grandkids. They are in danger. She sent me to get guards to get them back and keep the others safe." I watched as they're jaw dropped with this new information. They moved out of our way without another word.

Once in front of the big doors where the king would be waiting on his throne. When we opened the door we could see some of his people waiting in a line to tell him what he needs to fix in his kingdom. We skipped the line with some protests of some people. We swam right in front of the king; we were going to go to the front but a guard wouldn't let us to the throne, so we settled for in front of the steps.

"You can't skip the line, young men. So will you please go to the back of the line and wait like everyone else." The guards then started pushing us to the back of the line.

"Wait! Your daughter needs your help. Ariel." I shouted at the king making the guards stop to wait for orders on what the king wants them to do.

"What's so different from the last time she said that? I don't need another war on my hands." The king stated.

"Ariel's grandkids are in trouble. She asked me to ask for men to help them get them back. The humans took two of her grandkids. She needs help with guarding them. I don't know what exactly she wants but she needs help. She needs your help." I stated as I walked back in front of the steps facing him. Looking him in the eye.

He sighed. I could see he was thinking. Thinking if he should believe her. Believe that what happened last time he sent her guards. He sighed again before he gave me my answer. "I'll give her the guards but I will be going with. I don't want what happened last time to happen again. And I want to see my great grandchildren." He then turned to one of the guards giving him orders. "Get all the men you can spare. We are going to land to see my daughter Ariel and my grandchildren." With that the man left seeking any willing men and guards to come to land with their king to save their princesses.
