I was swimming in the Arctic Ocean with another mermaid. The water was colder than from the Pacific Ocean. I watched her long blue hair flow behind her. I can tell she's a siren by her tail since it reaches all the way to her breasts. She my new mate. She may not be Melody but my children need a mother. She will do just fine, since she has a few children out in the world already killing sailors for food.

"Jessica. Why don't we go back to my home where my children are waiting? Since you are my new mate; you will be their new mother." I smiled at her as she laid her crimson eyes on me.

"How many children will I be mothering?" She asked me in a gentle tone as she swam closer to me.

Great. The thing I was worried most about. My last mate, Melody, wanted a lot of kids, but now she's gone and it might make it to where our children won't have another motherly figure."Twenty two." I stated worriedly.

She looked at me with big eyes. "How old is the youngest?"

"By now probably a month or two." I answered immediately.

"And the oldest?"

"Eighteen." I said as she turned around to think.

"How many more children will you be willing to have, with me?"

"As many as you'd wish. That is how I had so many children to begin with because my last mate, Melody, wanted a lot of children since she was an only child. All of my children are girls, so it should be easy for you to raise them."

"I'm not raising them by myself."

"Alright. I will help with my children and our future children." She looked at me doubtedly.

"Where do you live?"

"California in America. Me and Melody had lived in the human world for awhile before we had any children, so we have a big home. And I can earn even more money for our family." I touched her stomach where our child was growing.

"Alright. Let's go." Smiling we began our swim to America through the icy water.
