Why Did Alex Pick Me?!

"What the heck Amber what is wrong with you do you want me to get killed by Alex today???!!!" I nearly shout at her  " Nothing is wrong with me Brook you just need to learn to not be a push over !"   " I'm not a push over " I mumble . All this is going on as we are taking our seats at lunch  we decide to sit at the corner table beside the cafeteria's doors .  " You are,I'm not trying to be mean, Brooklyn you just need someone to tell you whats wrong and right"  I just look up at her from the table and ignore the statement she just said just because my parents are never home didn't mean she can tell me what to do   she looks down at me and realizes that she crossed her line " oh my gosh I'm sorry I didn't mean it but its the truth " I just look up and her and realize that she is right so i am not going to argue with her she will win . I grab my lunch tray off the table and go to throw it away but as soon as  I go to throw my tray away  Alex the devil himself grabs my wrist as I try to walk away " Hey hallway princess " he smirks at me usually the smirk every girl falls for since just about every girl  has slept with him in this school besides me.  and I stand there feeling like this is going to go wrong as soon as I reply so its simple I didn't and it got worse  Alex still holding his smirk and lets go of my wrist . as soon as he lets go and start to walk away i mumble " don't touch me Jerk "   he turns around  and says " what did you say ?" since he already knows I just shrug my shoulders and walk back to my table.   I'm not extremely shy but  I don't really like talking a lot because every word I say  I get made fun of for so I  usually just talk to Amber. " so I just seen everything that happened up there Brook"  I roll my eyes at her " So are you   going to give me my life's long speech"  Amber just looks at me then laughs "no I'm not your off the hook, for now so lets go and finish our classes  so we can leave"  " yeah lets go I don't want to be longer than I  have to ". And with that me and Amber walked to our next period class ... Math  the dreaded math   I let out a groan  as me and Amber walk into the class and take our seats " you really hate math don't you Brooklyn ? " yes Amber  you know this "  i say as i let out another groan and lay the stuff I don't need  on the ground and sit back up " Good after noon class  !  today we will be learning about calculus !"  the whole class groans and complains  " you will not have any homework tonight if you all stop complaining! after Mrs. Sharp says these exact words everyone automatically shuts up

" that class kills me every time i walk in there I'm telling you I'm cursed to fail Mrs.Sharps class " i tell Amber  as I'm waiting for her to finish  putting her stuff in her locker so we can leave after math school ended so I'm just waiting on her "Hurry your butt up Amber almost have the school left including teachers!"  " I'm coming gosh somebody  is little miss hurry rush rush today " Amber says as she is walking up to me.  We both get inside her car and she starts her car and turns out of  the schools drive way and starts driving me home  . While she is driving me home I look over at her smile and then turn on the radio  '' YOU don't know that your beautiful!!!!!!" I  start screaming one direction words that are on the radio because I know she hates it  " OH MY GOD Brooklyn i swear i will stop this car and murder you !" i laugh and stop screaming  i lean over and turn the radio to some good music we both like until we pull into my house . Amber stops in front of my house " who is moving into the house beside you its been empty for years " say says while she looks at me confused . i look at her and shrug my shoulders '' i don't know probably a senior couple or something but thanks for dropping me off Amber . "  '' No problem Brook'' and with that i get out of her car  and she pulls away , i let out a sigh and walk inside my house  " Brooklyn honey    go change into better clothes we are going over to meet our new neighbors''  my mom says to me '' Mom they probably want to be alone they just moved in '' i roll my eyes at her  and she glares at me and points to the stairs  basically she is telling me to suck it up and come anyway . I sigh and lay my bag down and run up my stairs and i turn down the hall and walk into my room and close the door . I let out a groan " why dose she even act like she cares !" i shout frustratedly  and i throw a book across the room i found in the bottom of my closet  i let out another sigh  and change into skinny jeans and a black and white tank top  with my same Nike's on and leave my hair remaining a pony tail. i stand up  from sitting on my bed and walk downstairs where my mom is waiting with an unpleasant smile on her face   " sorry it took me so long mom i had to .. find a different shirt .'' i smile at her and she drags me by hand and we walk outside across our yard to our neighbors '' now Brook i want you to have you best attitude when they speak to ok  ?!"  '' ok mom i will ''  after i say this she knocks on the front door of the beautiful white house  and a tall girl with  dark brown hair opens the door '' hello !  you must be the neighbors im   Kristine !"   my mom looks at her and smile so i do the same my mom says''  yes we are the neighbors we wanted to meet the  new neighbors!'' my name is Ann  and this is my beautiful daughter Brooklyn !" i look up at Kristine  " its really nice to meet you Kristen " i smile at her  '' oh my goodness where are my manners please come in we will show you around!"  me and my mother walk inside the beautiful house as soon as i walk in i notice the tan walls with brown couches a dining table and a TV and the rest is in boxes .  '' you have a beautiful house Kristen '' my mom says and i smile at her '' thank you Ann  oh and Brooklyn i will call my son down from upstairs so you can meet him he goes to your school ''   i nod at he and smile '' I'm excited to meet him '' and with that she walks up stairs. My mom just stands where she is and looks around the barley furnished house.
Kristen walks back down stairs with  her son who's face is covered with hoodie. '' This is my son '' she smiles and then tell him to take his hood off  he sighs  and takes off his hood '' nice to meet you all my name is Alex'' then he looks at me and smirks evilly. I stand there frozen why did he and and his mom have to pick this particular house to live in! '' Hello Alex '' I fake a smile and  sigh . I look up at him and he has spark of amusement in his eyes while he is still smirking at me ''why don't you show Brooklyn around upstairs Alex  '' he mom says to him '' of course mother i would be glad to'' he says and then smiles  . My mom looks at me then smiles telling me to go follow him so she can talk to Kristine. I mentally groan inside my head and smile at Alex as he leads me up the stairs.
