Bounding myself to the wall in terror, I cowardly flinched everytime she moved a muscle.
"N- no I won't hurt you." She said, her voice almost breaking up.
My eyes darted around the room, searching for an exit.
"Please! Don't leave." Her voice was small and pleading.
I could sense her harsh breathing as she tried her best to persuade me to stay. She looked very tired, and it almost made me feel sad for her.
In a matter of seconds, she changed back into her human form. Her angelic yet demonic wing folded gently against her back and then disappeared.
"Even though me may look like them we are only related by appearance. I am a Locten. Fellow cousins of commonly addressed vampires." She hissed as she said the last word.
I'm guessing they don't like their family?
"I uh, have to show you something." Her words became soft and warm again.
She led me into a small corridor lit by torches aligning the wall.
When we reached the end of the hall, my eyes and mouth were too shocked to work properly.
To my left was a clothesline with the most gorgeous looking dresses I'd ever seen in my life. Colors danced and shined as I caught their prying eyes. They seemed to be saying Ooh pick me! Each dress had it's own special design. One that caught my eye was an elegant red dress made of the softest fabric I'd ever felt. It's V neck was decorated with shining rubies that twinkled and glowed in the shining light.
"Do you like it?" She asked me, like if I was going to say no.
"Of course I do! They look beautiful!" I replied
"You do?" She blushed a little.
"My mintre helped me made that one" she pointed to the red gown I had been eyeing.
"Wow." I was breathtaken by all the different variations.
"Would you like to take one?" My eyes widened when she asked
"Yes! I mean...yeah, I would love to...have one."
My mind instantly went to the banquet. I recalled the headmaster's words
I want you all to be dressed in your most formal attire.
"Can I use this one for the banquet?" I asked, hoping she would say yes.
"Thought you'd never ask." Bree said as I replied with a sigh.
She began to sort the dresses as she talked to me. We eventually made it to the main subject: the banquet
"Do you know the visitor's name?" I asked with curiosity.
"I heard his name was Alfonso, or some thing like that." she said casually
I realized the name way too late.
"Wait, my... brother?"
Hello guys!. I'm sooo sorry for all the late updates. School for me is coming up and I have been a bit busy (and lazy :/ )
Here are my two simple questions
1. Why don't you think the Locten like Vampires?
2. Um... what about Alfonso? Do you remember him?
