I am so going to die I thought as we both hurtled through the air.
3 hours later....
"I'm sorry."
I remained silent.
"I'm so sorry." He repeated.
I said nothing, pretending to be asleep. Niko solemnly looked around, sighing.
"Please, at least meet me in my dorm at 7." His was was small and pleading. "I'll make it up to you, somehow."
As he left the room, I scanned the infirmary. I was on a simple bed, covered with light blue sheets and white pillows. To my left was a strange machine that was once connected to my stomach and wrist. To my right was also another monitor, beeping and measuring things. Both my arms were wrapped in bandages, matching along with the patch on the left side of my stomach. I wonder how my Ixryu is. I should probably give her a name.
[A/N]( Any name suggestions? I was thinking Aqua or something like that.)
Trying my best not to cry out in pain, I slowly stood up, going to the side of the bed. Pain shot up all against my arms and hip like little sharp needles. At least my legs are okay. Just as I had stood up, I felt the need to sit down again. The pain was even worse in my head. I held it for a second, walking to the bathroom. Once I had assured myself that the door was locked behind me, I looked at my reflection. My hair was frizzy and all messed up. Just above my eyebrow was a small cut. It wasn't deep enough to become a scar, but it still bothered me.
I was just about to splash my face with water when suddenly, someone knocked on the door. I slowly walked to the bathroom door, quietly unlocking it and opening it. Once I had closed the door, I walked towards the other door.
"W-who's there?" I asked.
"It's me-"
The voice was silent for a moment. Then he replied.
"- marcio."
[A/N](reference to Mario for those who don't get it.)
I silently chuckled and opened the door.
"Hey Marc-"
I was cut off by a giant hug. He didn't let go of course, until I literally pushed him off. I appreciated his compassion, but I wouldn't like any extra broken bones. He must have heard me because he chuckled.
"So, how are you feeling?"
"I've been much better. Um... random question; which tent won?"
"The Orange tent."
"What? How?"
"Well, since you had the flag the whole time, nobody could steal it from you. Every else was wild looking for it. It was beyond chaos."
"Which tent were you in?"
He scratched the back of his head for a moment.
"Purple tent."
"Oh." was all I could say.
After a few more hugs and 'Are you okay's, Marc left. I looked at the digital clock on the bedside table. 6:47 already? Had it been that long? It was only 4:56 when I had arrived. By now, my arms weren't as stiff and I could bend them with less pain. I still had a headache, but not as worse. I put on a simple grey cashmere sweater and jeans along with my favorite black boots. It was getting cold.
Walking to the dorms, I passed by the fountain, where many people have gathered, throwing pennies and nickels. Finally arriving, I enter sector H, where our dorm rooms are. Room 453. Ok, here goes nothing. I walk in, surprised to see that Niko is already there. But something seems different to me.
"Niko?" I whisper softly as he meets my gaze.
"Yes?" His gorgeous blue and green eyes twinkle oddly.
"I- Im-"
"Shhh......" I gasp lightly as he walks up to me and places his finger on my lip.
I can hardly even speak. I feel like an idiot.
"You don't have to say anything, I should be the one apologizing." He says, placing his other hand on my cheek.
I close my eyes as he leans in, pulling me towards him. My heart is pounding so hard that I wouldn't be surprised is he heard it. Finally after two very long seconds, he closed the space between our lips. If he hadn't been holding on to me, I would've melted on the spot. Something was wrong. No butterflies fluttered in my stomach. No fireworks sparkled when we had kissed. I open my eyes again, looking for his dark black hair and blue eyes. Instead I am met with a horrific sight. I instead see two silver eyes, accompanied by a malicious grin.
"No!....." I try to back away, but he has me in a strong embrace.
All of a sudden, the door creaks open.
