Just A Little Something?

"So, what's up?" Bree asked as she perched herself on top of my bed.

"Just...boys and other things." I said, fiddling with my hair.

"Just spill the beans... I know you want to." she sighed.

Taking in a deep breath, I started to explain what had happened from this morning till now.

"And so, I have no idea what to wear."

Silence. Bree was very quiet.

Of course, I was mistaken. just seconds after, Bree started running around my room, yelling:

"Jennifer has a LOVER! Jennifer has A LOVER!!! Booyah!" I just sat there, blushing like an idiot.

"Well, aren't you going to get ready? I mean, this is your first date right?" Bree said, hopping around like a maniac.

"What? This isn't a date!" I said, blushing even more.

"We'll see about that."

"What do you think matches you better? Burgundy, or Red?" Bree asked, holding up two dresses that equally looked as beautiful as the other.

"I don't know. Red?" I said, realizing that according to Bree, either one matches me perfectly.

"Okie dokey! I'll get you ready in no time!"

30 minutes later....

"Perfect!"

Turning around, I studied myself in the mirror. I gasped at the sight of myself. Like Bree said, the red somehow just matched me perfectly. It was a red lace pouf dress with a pretty black belt encircling my waist. My hair was causally curled a bit, to give it the "wavy" look. This time, i had on some cute brown boots that reached my upper ankle.

"Wow. I'm speechless." I said, staring at my reflection

"Come on, you have a date to get to." Bree said, pushing me out the door.

Even after telling her a million times it wasn't a date, she still persisted, all until we arrived to the spot. Nothing like how I imagined, The garden was decorated ocean theme, mostly just everything blue.

"Welcome to the party!"

Spinning me around was Marc, wearing his own little festive black suit.

"Wait, this is a party? You never told me that." I said, still admiring the decorations.

"Yeah, I knew that if I told you what it actually was, you'd probably say no." he said, confidently smiling and taking a few strides ahead of us.

"Follow me. I have something special for you. Oh, and Bree?"

"Yes?"

"Would you mind if this could just be Jennifer and I? Its kind of a private talk" Marc said, tilting his head a bit.

"No, not at all" Bree said sweetly, though i could detect a bit of anger in her voice.

All of that faded when a cute freckled boy came into view.

"Is this madame taken?" He asked, curiously looking at Bree and Marc.

I realized this was my time to step in.

"No, not at all! You too go enjoy yourselves. Have fun!" I said, pushing Bree into the cute freckled boy, making her pale face blush a dark deep pink.

"Someone has a loveeeerrrr"  I whispered, making her cheeks flush even more.

****

"Wow, Its so...beautiful."

"I knew you would say that." Marc said, rubbing his fingers just seconds before diving into the clear, radiant water.

Just as i looked into the water to find him, i felt my ankle being tugged.

"N-no! Stop!" I shrieked, landing in the water.

Once in the water, I shot him a dirty look.

Ill get you back later

Just like last time, I was completely dry. All around me, floating in the water were beautiful lights that resembled the form of a lily pad. Everything looked much better underwater. Realizing i was slowly floating away, i started to panic. Just as fast as I started, i stopped. Grabbing my wrist, Marc swiftly swam from lantern to lantern, holding each of them up to me so i could see the different variations of them all. As I slowly began to fall asleep, Marc held on to my waist, making sure i wouldn't float away.

Do you like being underwater?

He asked, looking into my eyes.

Yeah, I do. Its really pretty.

I tried to avoid looking at his eyes, pretending to be gazing at a faraway light.

Jennifer.

Marc turned around to face me. His blue eyes twinkled in the water.

Yes?

He turned to face the lanterns again.

Can you see my tail?

I looked down at his waist. Sure enough, there was a long, shiny blue tail.

Yea, why?

I- Marc stopped suddenly, facing the opposite way-

Out of nowhere, there was loud crash, making ripples in the water.

W-we have to go

He said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me back to shore.

What's wrong?

I said, noticing the change in the mood. Marc said nothing as he led me back to where the party had once been. Of course, due to the loud crash, people were panicking and running around. My mind instantly went to Bree. Was she okay? Then something caught my eye. Two enormous dragons were perched in the center of the place, each preying on something they had trapped. that's when i began to panic.

One of them is Bree.

I thought, running my hands through my hair. What am i going to do? Then I remembered something. I can talk to dragons... all I needed was a distraction.

On it

Marc omitted, running towards the dragons.

1 hour later....

I felt completely useless. Instead of persuading the Dragons into letting Bree and the other boy go, I only made them angrier. Now, Marc was left with Bree trying to fight off the dragons. However, all of a sudden, Marc had a plan.

"If you really are who I think you are, then here! Grab this!" Cutting off the scale of one of the dragons, in a quick movement he threw it towards me.

Catching it, I silently promised my self to eat a tub of ice cream for finally catching something in life, other than a cold.

"What do I do with it?" I yelled back, hopefully grabbing his attention.

"You'll know when the time comes" he said, dodging an oncoming attack from the dragon on his left.

That's when I was confused. What did he mean? Yet suddenly, the scale in my hand began to glow.

"W-whats happening?" I asked, starting to panic

Marc suddenly turned towards me, eyes wide open in shock.

"It really is you.... the one who controls the Draikens. The choisen one." He said, still in shock

A giant hand hovered over Marc's head, aiming to strike.

"Wait, No! Stop!

Hey guys! How did you like that one? I tried to make it a little more lively, but still, I doubt a few things. Now, I am writing on a computer, so you will expect a few errors here and there. By the way, I didn't spell chosen wrong, that is just how they say it in MeQuin. This time, only have one question.

1. What do you think will happen next?
