10 years later...
"One for you, Stella and one for you Ethan." I hand two yellow flowers to each of the little rascals, smiling as they run towards the graves.
"Mommy! Can I put this one on top?" Stella asks, her hazel-green eyes looking up at me as she bounces up and down. Her black curls bounce along with her, illuminated by the rising sun.
"Yeah, I want to too!" Ethan also says, running towards me.
I look at his deep green eyes and ruffle his auburn hair as I nod.
"Mommy said I can do it!" He yells, running towards Stella.
She screams, running in the other direction.
"Hey! HEY! I said no running around the graves!" A loud voice says, scooping up Ethan and Stella.
"Just let them be. They are children after all, hun." I say to my husband, sitting on a small boulder behind me.
"Exactly why I need to discipline them. You rest now, I'll babysit. You do have another one coming, so you'll need as much rest as you can get."
I watch as Niko places both kids down and allows them to put the flowers on the grave. He then let's them go, making sure they don't cause much havoc. After a while, they are occupied and Niko comes back to me.
"Ah, my lovely wife. Feel any kicks lately?" He says, kissing my hand and feeling my stomach.
I quickly blush and hide my face, responding with a quiet."No, not yet."
"Well then tell me when you do. I want to know how strong my next child will be." I laugh as Niko smiles, caressing my cheek.
He then gives me a quick peck on the forehead, walking over to where the kids are.
I take one last look at the gravestone, feeling a tear roll down my cheek. Although it happened ten years ago, the memory was still fresh in my mind. Because of Estefano, I am alive. I survived that day. I already knew that I couldnt beat Alfred, no matter how much I trained. Only someone like my father or mother could possibly beat him. Speaking of which, the true story was revealed through Myra herself, whom was actually a double agent. I still questioned her, but I eventually listened. She had to grasp my attention along with Niko in order for the plan to work. Hence why she was so 'terrible.'
She had told me that a long time ago, Alfred had fallen in love with my mother. While he was in love, he had a vision about a great power that came from my mother. Filled with greed, he leeched onto her, keeping her constantly busy and keeping her all for himself. This happened for about a year. At the time, he was confident he had gotten my mother, but what he didn't know was that my mother had been secretly meeting another man. My father.
They bonded quickly, and soon fell in love after realizing they were perfect for each other. However, the day they left, Alfred planned to surprise my mother with a gift. Finding her room empty, he grew cold and was instantly infuriated. Blinded by rage, he cast a dangerous spell that caused a plague to spread across the land, killing thousands. Unfortunately, my mom caught the disease just days before giving birth to me. It's hard for me to believe that Alfred was terribly grief stricken and didn't mean to kill my mother, but the past is the past. It might be better to forget than forgive in this situation. Some things just don't turn out to be that way they seem.
"Jennifer!" I hear a familiar voice yell and turn around.
"Marc!" I also yell, getting up and cautiously making my way up to him.
When we meet, I hug him softly and he does too, conscious of my growing stomach.
"Y-y-you're pregnant already?" He stammers, looking me up and down.
