dad was more than happy that i had came home for the weekend, i never even told him i was coming. he asked me if i brought shawn along but i lied and told him that he was busy. shawn and i have been really tense since nate's surprise visit at my house earlier this week. he accused me of having feelings for nate and that's why i let nate stay so long at my house. of course i told him he was crazy and i had no remaining feelings left for the ohmaha boy, but lately... that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. i told shawn that we needed to break and then i packed my bags, heading back home for a while.

i find myself thinking of nate in the late hours of the night. thinking of all the good times we had, the way he always found a way to make me smile, the way he constantly showed love for me. our breakup ended and a shitty way and we were both hurt in the end. i feel isolated and unhappy for the longest, and i had to keep living this lie to make everyone else happy but myself. the thing that made me happy was- nate.

i tear the covers from off my body and check the time, almost three in the morning. i slip on some shoes and sneak down the stairs. i see dad's car keys hung on the rack where we keep our keys to everything. i quietly take them and sneak out the door, feeling like a teen again.

i don't know what i'm doing and i don't know if this right... maybe i'm crazy... maybe i'm in love. i see no difference.

a short drive later, i arrive at the familiar house. i turn off the car and take a deep breath, getting out the car. it's late, i don't even know if he's up. maybe i should go home, but it's too late . i'm already at the doorstep. i knock three times before taking a step back. i felt my heart beating from out my chest. i tugged on my sleeves of my shirt. he's probably not going to even answer... i turn on my heels to walk away.

"well this is new." i heard from behind me, making me turn around to see nate's face.

"figured i'd switch things up." i laugh nervously.

a smirk plastered on his face. "what are you doing on my porch at three am, mia?"

"i..." i scratch my head. this is so awkward. "i needed to see you..." i confessed.

nate's smirk slightly falls but he keeps an amused look. "you needed to see me?" he repeats and i nod. "what did you need to see me about?"

instead of replying with word, i walk up on him and grab his scruffy face in my hands, crashing my lips onto his. he almost immediately kisses back, his arms going around my small waist.

"i missed you." he muttered into the kiss.

"shh." i quiet him, reconnecting our lips.

i missed his lips. i missed him.

we pulled away after what felt like forever and we both stood there, trying to catch our breaths.

"come inside." he grabbed my hand, taking me inside with him. again i'm met with the familiar setting and i'm instantly comfortable. i figured everyone was sleeping because the doors were closed and no lights were on. we went into his room and nate closed the door behind us.

nate wrapped his arms around me from the back, placing soft kisses on my neck instantly making me squirm. "i missed you." he breathed.

i turn around fully so we are face to face. "show me." i say softly, looking at his lips then back up to his eyes. a small smirk formed on his lips as he pushed me onto the bed, quickly removing his shirt before leaning down to kiss me.
