Chapter 28- What's a Feeling?

So it's been a couple of months,and this summer I'm going to become a senior. Today me and Jacob going to this party his friend is throwing. It's supposedly going to be lit. Parties aren't my thing but I'll go cause Jacob asked me. We still just friends but I feel some type of way about him. It's not bad though.

I'm on my way from school now though, we get out in a few days. "I don't see why you couldn't have just gotten your diploma." I say to Jacob on the phone. The phone is connected to the car so his voice is through the speaker. "How many times I gotta tell you,school not my thing. I rather learn from the streets,it's sad but that's how it is. I ain't gone tell you no more." He says. I shake my head. "Alright, I just always wondered." I say. "Mhmm. Ima call you back, you need to concentrate on driving before you crash and I won't have nobody to talk to or be around." He says. "So you just want me to stay alive just to occupy your annoying ass." I say. "No,why do girls make everything complicated? If it was any other girl I wouldn't have gave a single fuck if the stayed on the phone with me or flew off the highway,you lucky." He says. I giggle. "Okay. foreal, be safe." He says. "Bye." I say then hang up. I can't believe he wants me to "be safe".

I get out the car with my phone in my hand and start walking to the door. He keep the door open before I come from school. "There yo bitch ass go." He says getting up. "I need you to do something for me." He says walking up to me. I roll my eyes and put my book bag down. "What is it now." I say. "Chill, I just wanted to know what you was gone say, I like messing with you." He says with a grin. I cut my eyes at him. "Thanks for letting me know." I say then start walking up the stairs. He so extra.

My baby girl will be one year old next month. I'm so excited,she not the only one getting old. My ass gone be a whole ass senior in a couple weeks,I know I sound like I'm exaggerating but wow. Just yesterday I remember loosing my virginity,speaking of him I have not been around him or heard of him. We still go to the same school I just take advances classes so I don't see his dumb ass. I'm gonna take a nap because I'm tired,I always do that after school. Plus I'm trying to be energized for this party so I guess that's what Ima do.

I start to drift off to sleep but something heavy wakes me up. I look up and see Jacob big body ass  laying on me. "Nigga what are you doing?" I ask in my sleepy voice. He takes a tissue and holds it to my nose,still Laying on me. "Blow." He says treating me like a child. "I am tell your nose kinda stopped up." He says. I have allergies so it happens often. "I know how to blow my noise thank you." I say scooting over and taking the tissue. "So what you wearing tonight." He says laying down next to me getting comfortable. "I don't even know I don't even want To go,I'm just going cause you want me to." I say. He nods his head. "I'm bout to go back to sleep." I say turning over. "So you can't stay up and talk?" He asks. "I'm tired man." I say with my eyes closed. He sighs. "Aight bye then." He was getting up and walking out. Finally I can get some sleep,between these babies and school.

I been bored all damn day. Usually I would be playing a game or talking to Laya but her dumb ass is sleep.

I open the door then walk into Laya's room. "Okay,wake yo ass up,I been letting you sleep all these fuckin hours." I say snatching the cover off and smacking her in the head with the pillow with all my might,just to off. "Jacob what the fuck man!" She yells sitting up. "You don't know how to leave people the fuck alone." she snaps irritably. "Don't get mad at me cause you don't know how to go to sleep on time." I say,I'm not tryna say nothin to irritating cause she get mad very fast. She the only female I met that's not scared to cuss me out,I don't know why but I like that, it turn me on. she puts her head in her hands rubbing her face. "Nigga I been studying and taking care of the baby,I don't have time for shit and you tryna party like its a fuckin joke! You may not have nothing to worry about but my education is my only way out of poverty and being dependent on people! Damn,I don't ever get the time off but the weekends!" She snaps. I try to keep from smiling,I feel like a child getting in trouble by they mama. For some reason I don't get offended when she snap on me unless she being disrespectful,a nigga ain't Finna apologize though. "So you going with me or what?" I ask. She takes a deep breath then gets up from the bed and storms into the bathroom. She's mad, I don't care though.
