"You hear all that?" he asked. I nodded.

"I thought he looked sad earlier." I said, "Glad to know it was just a big misunderstanding."

"Yeah," Joe agreed, scratching the back of his neck.

"Now, where were we?"

"What?"

"I believe I was trying to figure out what was wrong with you." I said. His face expression instantly changed. Whether to anger or sadness, I couldn't tell.

"I told you, it's nothing." He started walking away again, this time toward one of the bedrooms- the one the boys were staying in tonight. I followed him without thinking.

"Don't lie to me, Joe." I said.

"What do you want me to say, (Y/N)?"

"The truth would be nice."

"It's nothing."

"That's not the answer I'm looking for."

"Well, it's the only answer you're getting." He said, reaching the boys' room and slamming the door behind him. What was that about? Why is he so angry? I walked back into the living room, plastering a fake smile on my face. He'd get over whatever it was eventually, right?

"Hey, (Y/N)!" Marcus called as I entered the room. I walked over to the couch and sat next to him.

"Hey," I said, sighing.

"What's up?" He said, voice full of concern. Was I really that obvious? I shrugged. "No really, what's going on? I saw you and Joe talking, everything alright?"

"Yeah, he's just in a mood I think," I answered.

"About what?"

"Uh... That's what I was trying to figure out actually," I said. "I think he got more mad because I wanted to know what was wrong." He nodded.

"Maybe it's what he was talking to me about earlier," Marcus guessed. I sat up.

"What?"

"Well, when we were on the phone this morning he was just talking about something that was making him a bit nervous," He explained, "But I'm not sure he'd want me to tell you."

"He gave out my number, I think privacy is out the window." I said. Marcus laughed.

"While that's a good point, I think I'm going to wait for him to tell you." He smirked, and I furrowed my eyebrows. I was already very tired and confused, the last thing I wanted was for Marcus to keep this from me.

"Oh fine," I said, "I'll just ask him."

"Good luck with that," He said, laughing again. What did he mean by that? I nodded awkwardly and walked back down the hall to the door that had been slammed in my face only a few minutes ago. I was going to figure out what was going on.
