"Are you ready to see the new you?" I said, mocking a stereotypical hairdresser or designer. Dan nodded, eyes still closed.

"Yasssss," he shouted jokingly. I laughed and told him to open his eyes. Once they were open, they widened in surprise - I had completely made him over. Blonde, quiffed hair, bright blue eyes, black glasses (with fake lenses, of course), and a blue and white baseball t-shirt. "I'm an American!" He yelled, in his overly British accent. I burst out laughing. "Woah, woah, wait. My hair," he freaked out, pulling on it and realizing it wasn't a wig. "Y/N WHAT DID YOU DO?!"

"Don't freak out!" I yelled, holding my hands out in defense. "I matched your hair color before I did anything, and we're going to dye it right back at the end of the week, okay?" He took a breath to yell again, but then stared at himself in the mirror.

"I guess it really isn't that bad..." he said slowly, running a hand through his hair. "Woah, my eyes!" He exclaimed, getting closer to the mirror and opening them wide. "I didn't know you were going for blue!"

"So... Do you think it'll work?" I asked nervously.

"Yeah, it's great!" He replied, then turned to look at me and promptly froze. "You look different, too," he acknowledged. I laughed.

"Really? I had no idea!" I joked. I walked closer to the mirror as well, taking in my new appearance. I wore a medium length wig that was a completely different color than my natural, and changed my eye color to the complete opposite of what it was before.

"Thanks, Y/N," Dan said suddenly.

"For what?" I asked. What could he possibly be thanking me for?

"Doing this," he said, gesturing to his appearance, "And for trying to help me. I mean, you barely know me."

"Let's be honest, we both probably know a lot about each other from our YouTube channels," I laughed. "Plus I'm about to move in with you, so I'd better start getting to know you like now."

"True," he chuckled. "But this is really nice. Thank you!"

"Speaking of, we should totally play a get-to-know-you game!" I decided excitedly. Dan gave me a confused look.

"What? Why?"

"Just sounds fun," I shrugged. "Let's see how similar we are to our internet personalities!" He smiled.

"Okay, sure."

"Wow, you literally didn't keep any secrets from your followers, did you?" Dan asked, laughing.

"Nope, but neither did you!" I said. "Except the part about-"

"Hey! You said you'd never speak of it again!"

"I know, I know," I laughed. "Ready to go experience America as a regular guy?" I asked. He smiled wide.

"Super ready," he replied. "The mall?"

"Definitely!"

I turned into the parking lot and laughed when Dan gasped.

"This is cool!" He said.

"It's nothing special," I laughed. "Haven't you been to like, Japan? How do you think this is cool?" The mall had large, neon signs on the outside of the building for each store, and a huge sign with the mall name above the covered walk to the entrance. He shrugged.

"I just do," he answered. We got out of the car and walked to the front doors of the building. "Where to first?" Dan asked.

"The smoothie place here is the best, we have to go there first."

"Lead on," he said, holding the door open and gesturing for me to walk through. When we were both inside, I lead him through the twists and turns of the mall.

"How do you remember where everything is?" He asked. I shrugged.

"I just do," I replied with a smirk. He lightly punched my shoulder. "Here we are!" I exclaimed, stopping in front of the smoothie place in the food court. "Best smoothies in the world, I swear."

Once we had our smoothies, we went to GameStop to check out the video games. Dan completely freaked out and bought ten different games and a pokémon trainer hat. When we left the store, we saw a girl wearing a TATINOF shirt, and Dan almost stopped to talk to her before he realized how different he looked. He sighed.

"Something wrong?" I asked.

"No, it's just... Well, I always say how hard it is to deal with fans, but they're still the best part of this job. I love having one-on-one meets with them, especially when they least expect it," he smiled. "It's freeing to not have to deal with that, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't miss it. I almost feel bad about this."

"That's okay, it's only one week. It's okay to want to be normal once in awhile," I said. He nodded.

"Thanks," he said, before his eyes widened. "I have an idea!"

"Oh no. What is it?" I asked, pretending to be scared to hear his answer.

"Hey, it's actually a good idea!" He said defensively. "I think we should video tape this. I know we're sort of undercover right now, but we should totally post it to our channels later! It'd help me feel better about the fan thing, too."

"That actually is a great idea!" I said happily, taking out my camera (I'm a vlogger, of course I bring it with me everywhere). "Hey guys! It's Y/N here, with Dan! We're undercover for a week!"
