I'm building up a character,
Just like all the others
You might think you've heard of her
And you might think you've felt what she has
And that's the beauty of a good story
It's characters are relatable,
Believable
This one in particular
Holds dark lips and pail skin
Black and blue hair to matcher her bruises
Many call her names
While others just say her name
She hides away
Deep in her phone
Trying to forget the pain she feels
She'll never show her tears,
Because she's hard as a rock
She's in love with a boy
Who will never love her
She ran away from home
And he's the one who found her
Lost in the dark
Crumped due to pain
Mentally and physically abused he brought her in
But that was before he became what he is
He changed her greatly
And fell in love
With the boy
Who could never love her
He slipped away to his own world
While hers revolved around him, and the pain of watching him wait for his moment to find love.
Lipstick wasn't the only dark thing to taste her lips
Where she wished his mouth would clutch hers,
Vodka clutched her instead
Where the bruises once lay,
Cuts now sat
And both were cased my a man's carelessness
But the pain wasn't anywhere close to what she felt inside.
