Life Never goes as Planned

Confused

I park the car and I start to walk towards the shops. I walk into a boutique and start to look at all the clothes and tried to get my mind off of Killian. The owner comes out and gasps at the sight of me. "Emma Swan?" I gave her a baffled look. "The head of design at FA Institute, the one who coordinated the end of the year fashion show?" I smile and laughed. "Yes, I'm sorry I have no introduction for you." I say ashamed and smiled. She smiles.

"Oh I'm sorry my name is Caroline Herstley and I've just been inspired by your work, I just love it and well I think you already noticed by my designs in the boutique." "Nice to meet you Caroline, and yes that's what caught my attention, that design on one of the mannequins looks like mine but with a more southern touch to it." She smiled so much it actually made my heart melt. "Keep working on your designs and I'm sure you will sell great."

We walk towards the counter and I see a magazine and there was a picture of Killian and I on Fashion Monthly. "What's this?" I ask. She smiles. "Well apparently your intern who is so good looking if you don't mind me saying and you are like the hottest thing around, both fashion designers and good looking and making a change in this world through fashion, why wouldn't you guys be on Fashion Monthly." I laughed and smiled. I couldn't get my eyes off of the magazine. I smiled then I backed away.

I looked around and no one was shopping and there were so many people outside. "Why aren't people shopping here?" I ask her. She looks down. "Well it seems that no one likes my designs and I'm bad at promoting my shop." I type her name and number down in my phone and I give her my card. "First off promote your store on the media, and go to events and promote your designs and store."

I take out my phone again and I ask one of her workers to take a picture of Caroline and I. After that I go and take a picture of one of her designs and I post them on my webpage and on my institutes page. "There see I started to promote your designs, now its all up to you, if you need anything please give me a call or text me." She smiles and hugs me. "Oh you are amazing." She says and that's when people start to walk in and start to ask for the designs from the post I had made. She hugs me again and smiles.

"Oh you are a blessing Emma, I hope the best for you and if you need anything or need an extra pair of hands for a collection don't hesitate to call." I nod and hug her again. "Go and attend your customers." I walk out and wave bye. I walk out and I take a breath and smile. I just made someone's day, that's awesome. Who knew that I could do that.

I put my sunglasses on and a hat and continued to walk and just enjoy the scenery of the shops. I went and bought a sheer skirt and a tank top and some shorts to wear under the skirt and I went and walked on the pier. I was just observing people and trying to get my thoughts straight in regards to Killian. We can't be together, I just can't let him in, I'm just too scared.

I walked along the pier and I stood there and observed a young man fishing. I just smiled and he looked to me. "Would the beautiful lady like a try?" I gave him a weird look and sighed. "Oh no, I've never gone finishing before." He smiles. "Oh but there's a first time for everything." He says as he hands me the fishing rod. I couldn't help but smile. I grabbed the fishing rod and I put the line in the water. A few minutes later I felt a tug on the finishing line. I start to reel it in and a huge fish is at the end of line. I jump up and down and the young man grabs it and puts in the bucket. I give him back the rod and he smiles. "It seems that you're a natural." He says and smiles. I smile and nod. "I guess so, thanks." He nods. "Anytime love." I smile and walk away.

I walked down to the shore and I put my feet in the water and just wanted to feel embraced by the waves. I close my eyes and I looked up into the sky and memories of my past came up into my mind and I felt tears rolling down my face. It was so hard to see past those horrible times. Killian came into my mind and I couldn't help but smile. No, I can't let him in, he's going to be like every other guy out there.

That's when I get a text from Killian. "Hope you're doing good, I had an awesome time on our date today, see you tomorrow love." My heart started to beat super fast. I felt like I was actually falling in love with him but I was too scared to let him in. I started to walk and then I just sat in the sand and observed the waves. I let myself be embraced by the sounds of the sea and began to relax.
