A Christmas Surprise, Part 1

That time of year finally arrived, Christmas time, which means spending time with family and friends. Our institute's Christmas Party was amazing and fun, I really enjoyed every moment of it, especially the secret Santa.

It was so awesome because Lacy was my secret Santa and she not only got a gift for me but for my little ones as well. She was too sweet, and I got August, which was super hilarious. I got him an amazing gift that left him speechless, in both a good and bad way.

With that Christmas Party out of the way, I can focus on our Family's Christmas Party. My in laws are joining us this year, and of course Lacy with her husband. I'm just super excited, even though there won't be that many people at the party, the ones that I truly care about will be there so..

And speaking of people I care about, Killian and I talked things over and decided to forgive each other, even though I was still upset about him kissing Ruby. I mean we all make mistakes, so it's best to forget and move on. And that couldn't have come a better time because I have an amazing surprise for Killian, but I will give him that surprise in front of everyone when he comes tomorrow night.

I'm at the house going over the list making sure I got presents for everyone and I have everything for the party tomorrow when Lacy walks through the front door. "Auntie Lacy." The twins scream and run up to her. She smiles and hugs them. "How are you two doing?" She asks and they smile. "Good." They both say. I smile.

"Alrighty kids go to your room, your Auntie Lacy and I have to prepare things for the Christmas Party." They start to jump up and down like crazy. Seeing their faces filled with joy warmed my heart. "Will daddy be here?" Liam asks and I smile. "Yes." They both smile and run to their rooms.

"Are you sure he's coming?" Lacy asks and I sigh. "Well he said he was, I have hope that he will." She nods. "Well he better, if not he will hear it from here." Lacy says and scoffs as she sits down. I shake my head. "You're so sweet Lacy." I say sarcastically and she smiles.

"Well tomorrow afternoon my dear husband will arrive so I came here to help you with the last minute details for the party." I smiled. "Thanks." I smile and hand her the list. "So you nervous that your in-laws are coming?" I laugh nervously. "Oh yeah, it's their first year here at our house and I'm so scared." She nods.

"Yeah I don't want them to know that Killian and I have been having problems so I'm praying that Killian decides to show up." She sighs. "What if he doesn't?" I sigh. "He better." She nods. "Well the good thing is that tomorrow my in-laws arrive so I don't have to worry about that for now." That's when the door bell rings. We both sat there baffled.

"Did you invite someone?" Lacy asks and I shake my head. "No." She nods. I get up and opened the door and to my surprise it was my in laws. "Brennan, Claire!" I say out loud and I turn back and Lacy gasped and stood up. "My dear Emma," Claire says as she embraces me. I smile. "Emma, nice to see you." Brennan says and I smile. "Likewise." He smiles.

"Please, please come in." I say escorting them in. Lacy walks up to me. "Impecable timing." She whispers to me. I nod and laugh. "Please sit sit." I say and they sit down. "So where are our grand babies?" Brennan asks and that's when I hear footsteps.

"Grandma, Grandpa!" I hear the twins scream out. They came running into the living room and hugged them. I smiled at the sight of that. If only Killian were here to see this. They started to play with the twins and that's when I look at the time and it's getting late. "Liam, Leía it's time to say goodbye to grandma and grandpa we have to go shopping." They both sigh.

Claire gets up. "Why don't you leave them here and you go." I smile. "They are a hassle, Claire." She smiles. "We came all this way to see all of you and I'm pretty sure you need a break from them." I smile. "Thanks." She smiles. "I will bring food when I come back." She smiles. I look over and Lacy and she grabs her stuff.

I call the kids over. "You two be good with grandma and grandpa you hear?" They both nod. I kiss their foreheads and they go back to playing. "Thank you." I mouthed and they nod. Lacy and I walked out. We get into the car. "We have to go get the gifts for the little ones." I said and she nodded.

We arrived to the toy store and made our way inside. "So do you know what they want?" Lacy asks and I smile. "Oh yeah." I said and grabbed a cart as we made our way down the aisles. I started to pick out the toys and Lacy stops me. "Emma, are you ok?" I nod. I lie. "Yeah I'm ok." She sighs and gives me a straight face. I sigh. "I just hope Killian comes, I just want to be together as a family."

She sighs. "Well like I said he better if not he will hear from me." I laugh. "I love you." She smiles. "You better." I smile. "I just hope he's as excited I am to be together." I say and Lacy nods. "I'm pretty sure he is." She says and I nod.

Killian's POV
"What the hell do you mean I can't leave right now?" I said scolding the lady behind the counter at the airport. "I'm sorry sir, all our flights are cancelled due to the snow." I scoff. "Well I'm aware of the conditions but I need to get to California."

She nods and I could tell she's annoyed as can be. "Miss, I have to go see my wife and kids, I was going to surprise her tonight." She nods. "Im sorry sir there is nothing I can do, the next flight I can book you for is for the 26th." I scoff and walk away. "Killian calm down." I hear Ruby say and I snap.

"No Ruby I want to be home." She sighs and hugs me. "I know you do." I sigh as I hugged her. "But Emma, I don't want her to think.." She backs away. "Well if she's the Emma you love I'm sure she will understand." I nod. "Yeah I guess you're right." She smiles.

"Well I guess we can make it to the company's Christmas Party." She says and I nod. "Oh that's right." I said and smiled. "Yeah I guess so, it seems that I'm stuck here so what's the harm in going and having fun." She nods and grabs one of my suitcases. We put our coats and hats and made our way to Ruby's car.

We placed all the suitcases in the trunk and made our way to the party. We get there and everyone is happy that I was able to make it. I mean it's only right that the president is there for his company's Christmas Party. The music started and there were drinks to go around.

I was so angry with the airlines that I just drank my anger away. I know it's bad for me to drink like this when I know I get out of hand easily but I mean I had to. I had so many drinks, I could barely stand up. My vision was super blurry and I could tell that my head was starting to mess with me.

I look over at Ruby and she gasps. "Killian, I think it's best I take you home, what if we find a flight tomorrow wouldn't want you to get there all drunk." I laugh. "You have very lovely black hair Ruby and is that a bit red I see in there." I say all slurred and she laughs.

"Bye everyone." She says and she helps me put my coat on and helps me get in the car. I legit felt so good, I had forgotten about everything. We get to my apartment and Ruby sets me down. "There you go." She says and I smile. I get up again and she laughs. "Killian." She says and I grab a bottle of scotch.

I start to drink it and she takes it away. I scoff. "Give that back." I say and she shakes her head. "No, no more drinking." I scoff. "Give it back." I say and get all up in her face. "No." She says and looks me in the eyes and then does something that surprised me. She kisses me. I don't hesitate and I kiss her back. She places the bottle down and our kisses start to deepen.

We make our way to the bedroom and we are in a complete make out session. I'm caressing her whole body just enjoying the warmth and pleasure her body was bringing me. We moved around the room trying to find the bed but kept bumping into the furniture, pressing up against the window and almost tripping. We finally made it to the bed and I laid her down on the bed and we continued to kiss.

"Mmm." She says in between breaths. I couldn't help but smile. We continued to kiss and that's when she takes off my shirt. She smiles and runs her fingers through my chest hair. I smile and laid down and continued to kiss her. "I love you Emma." I say in between breathes and she laughs.

"What did you say?" She asks in between breathes and I smile. "You really missed me didn't you Emma?" I say and she stops kissing me. I pull back and she has a confused look on her face. Even though I was drunk I could tell her face was not only confused but hurt. "What?" She laid there quietly. That's when the alcohol takes its full affect on me and I fall to right side of the bed and completely knock out.
