A number so small but big at the same time. Telling people what the number signified was a different story. Whoever knew what the number stood for was either dead or on the brink of it. Such a simple number used to imply happier things, the number didn't mean death but something close to it. There were other numbers she remembered but the 16 was one that never escaped her nightmares.
The gracious number 16, was the number of times that she tried to kill herself, before she stopped caring. Death was one thing she wished upon herself, what she wished for on her birthday. See, because she couldn't die. No matter how hard she tried, she always seemed to escape death. No steel, no gun, no weapon could seem to bring her her happiness.
Many ask why couldn't she die? What weapon couldn't kill a innocent human being? And the response to that was that she wasn't innocent or human at all. But to understand everything, it's best to start at the beginning.
Seraphina was her birth name; her age was unknown because no one remembers the crimson girl's origin. The only way she exist is through the words of others who call her a legend or a myth.
Many claim that at the start of her life, she was born with hazel hair so stained a crimson red by the blood of her enemies. Others say that the only real thing about her is her holy face, that could lure anyone to do what she wanted. The most popular one is that she was born from the flames, her favorite element. And that underneath her skin were scales that protected her from death, which she saw as a curse.
But no matter what everyone believed of the origin of the girl, it all came down to one point. She was a dragon, the last one known alive.
She wasn't experimented on nor was she cursed. She was simply a girl that couldn't be killed and one that was damned to live on earth.
